@HumansNoContext Faster in my case, 48 + 2 = 50, then I add 25 and it's easy/memory math so you get 75 really easy that way. I always use decomposition of numbers, and yes I'm on the spectrum.

@DreamMixGames Here in Argentina is priced 6.50 USD full price with no sale (while other games always launch with 10%-20% sale), and you are facing against sonic all stars transformed which is full price 20 USD and right now 75% sale at 5 USD, it's dificult for you due to these factors.. :/ 2/2

@DreamMixGames I love your game and the concept but you are facing difficulties right now due to 2 things, it's already saturated with AAA products of same category (on PC check SEGA sonic Crossworlds racing and Sonic all star team racing transformed or something like that), and your game 1/2

@ilia_gamedev @UnityCodeMonkey You are touching a real and interesting point here, most of the time people don't actually see your game because they don't get attracted to 1. The title 2. If someone can't even get 10 views, doesn't it mean that the game is not even seen by anyone? I feel like it doesn't say anything about the game idea at all at this stage. Getting 10 playtesters on the other hand... If people see the game and still don't want to play it, that's an indicator that the idea is not interesting enough.

"I'm trying to get an audience and feedback for my game but it's incredibly difficult! I cannot seem to get more than 10 views or 10 playtesters, what am I doing wrong?" This is a common problem, and sadly I would say that if you're having trouble getting just 10 views, then that's likely an indication that the game idea perhaps isn't quite as compelling as you might think. Game marketing and the odds of success starts from the idea. When you have an excellent compelling idea it is easy to get testers and get eyeballs on your content, but when you have Flappy Bird Clone #42 it is nearly impossible to get anyone to pay attention. In terms of practical advice the rough path is first find friends and family to play your game, then look on various subreddits and discords, then get content creators and make a demo. But it all starts on the idea and if you're having a lot of trouble finding traction or people to play your game in the early stages, then it might be wiser to drop that idea in favor of something more marketable before you invest 1 year of your life working on a game that people are clearly telling you they do not want.

@DMortenssen @mine_tech_blog You can use ChunkBase.com to see the map of any Minecraft seed, including all structures. Their placement is algorithmically predictable, unless tempered with by other mods. I don't know how the mod in question works, but it's a safe guess that it works similarly.

I made over $1mil with my 9 games on Steam, and I've been asked an interesting question: "is the majority of that revenue from a small number of very successful titles, or is the secret making a lot of them and it adds up?" The answer is how it is a bit of both. Personally I've never had a mega hit but I've definitely had a big gap between successful and unsuccessful games. I think my biggest hits were Game Corp DX which made about $250k and Blueprint Tycoon which made about $200k. So just those two made a big chunk of my total. But then the others, some made just $10k, others made $100k, so it varies quite a bit. In the end the fact that I have made so many games really helps smooth out the revenue curve. I'm a big fan of making small games and slowly increasing the baseline revenue. If I were not currently primarily focused on teaching that is exactly what I would be doing. Make and publish lots of small games to have a relatively smooth month to month income. FUN FACT: Even super old games still sell a handful every month. My first Steam Game, Survivor Squad, still pays me about one or two lunches every month, even though the game is over 10 years old!

@UnityCodeMonkey Hey man, honestly reading you feels rewarding because if we ignore your successful games, you'd still have 500k-ish, and that's amazing. I want to congratulate you and I agree that making small games and selling them (always with vision, no slop or trash) is really good for you!

@AnEmortalKid @UnityCodeMonkey You are right there, for such use case you need the singleton pattern which also uses static instances but for GameObjects, this is mostly aimed at pure C# classes instantiation & initialization.

@UnityCodeMonkey Ah but this won’t work with game object references since those get destroyed so your reference will be set but to a null style / not valid object right ?

@Hellveaniavt Hello i don't know you hope you are good, but just wanted to say that this guy Mujin has covered really interesting topics, even crimes, but as far as I know what Sykkuno did (and all the controversy it followed) it's just what a lot of men have been doing in the entire history?

@zavxai Depends on the task/backend service you are developing, for data science parsing services or some AI weird stuff, Python, for the rest considering ease and cheaper costs for develop, Node.js (NEST.js is pretty good). It depends on what you are trying to make. Learning Golang now.

@Tech_girlll This is so wrong on so many levels, buy the rig you need for the tools you'll use. If developing a heavy graphics game on Unreal Engine 5 (or even doing heavy 3d modeling) 16 GB ram and over 8-12 GB video are mandatory. For software depends on what you are developing. Usually RAM

@einexile @RinoTheBouncer Based on those answers, Classic and BC are exactly the same. PvE quality solo content is a new concept in WoW. I think in Pandaria it started to gain proper relevance.

@RinoTheBouncer There are a few for me, but the first that came to mind was Kingdom Come Deliverance, I was told it was an awesome game with a great skill learning system, but I found it slow and clunky with missions taking way to long for what they were, the rabbit hunting mission took 2 hours
