Politically speaking, Thune may think Trump will become toxic. Trump is quickly becoming George W. Bush’s third term. I live here in South Dakota. Yes Thune is not very popular, but Trump isn’t either due to the Iran war. Trump promised a Golden Age and gave us crumpled up aluminum foil. Trump brought this on himself. He should have stayed focused on his domestic agenda.

The only reason these people know the details of the Israeli campaign is because Israel went above and beyond the standard disclosures for FARA and provided more detail than almost every other country. So, Israel provided transparency, the media combed every piece of it and used that transparency to run stories about secret lobby campaigns to brainwash America. No surprise there. Then you have a bunch of gaslighters on here who have yet to provide one single piece of evidence EVER about an influencer being paid by Israel to promote Israeli talking points on here gaslighting everyone else by insinuating that everyone who is pro-Israel or criticizes the deal is paid by a foreign government. That's why they won't name names, won't provide a shred of evidence outside the filings because they have none and they need to keep making saying this with as much vague opacity as possible to implicate as many people as possible. Otherwise, they would have to contend with the fact that their side is made up of too many foreign bots that cannot vote in elections. Why do the FARA filings place substantial portions of it's work into the vague category of “non-registrable activities.” One filing says those activities included "strategy concerning non-U.S. media, media ethics, bilateral and multilateral relations, and capacity building." Another acknowledges that Qatar paid Lumen8 for those non-registrable services while reporting no disbursements connected to the registered work. What exactly does Lumen8 deliver to Qatar each month? Which American hosts, producers, podcasters, influencers, and outlets has it contacted? Which interviews has it arranged, and what preparation, suggested framing, talking points, production support, travel, lodging, meals, or other benefits accompanied them? Which activities involving Americans are classified as “non-registrable,” and on what legal basis? How much of Qatar’s total payment is assigned to registered work versus non-registered work? What did Lumen8 do before and after arranging Tucker Carlson’s interview with Qatar’s prime minister? Did it suggest themes, questions, clips, headlines, or distribution strategy? Did it coordinate with Qatar’s other lobbying and PR firms? Did it organize or assist with influencer trips to Doha? Who traveled, what did each person receive, and what content followed? What reports did Lumen8 give Qatar measuring reach, sentiment, placements, or changes in American opinion? Why does a filing that expressly asks for activities to be described “in full detail” repeatedly answer with little more than “media and communication strategy?"
