Well, this is one of many reasons actually.Police are fighting a losing battle everyday-to do their jobs, be supported and in doing so fighting everyday to keep their jobs but also, as seen here to fighting to stay safe every single shift!

My thoughts this evening are with our @DC_Police colleagues who were sadly involved in a serious collision last night in West Cornwall. 😔 Wishing everyone involved a very speedy recovery, we truly never know the dangers we might face during a tour of duty. 🫡 #ThinBlueLine 🚨

@bedspolfeddsec @LBC And so many of us have handed them in due to the ridiculous implications that come after using one. The training is thorough, most would be happy for the training to be harder if it meant we werent put through to psd for something we are highly trained in.

Spoke on @LBC about whether off duty police officers should be armed with Taser following the Huntingdon train incident last night. We need our Home Office to increase funding to allow our current ON DUTY officers to be able to carry! Carrying off duty is a complete non starter. @bedspolice @axon_us

While all else is going nuts - our London landmarks remain impervious.. The Victoria Memorial looking particularly resplendent in the evening sunshine. I don’t come to London often - but it can be quite glorious.
