Far Enough?
Remember when you wanted to find the best coffee within walking distance of where you’re at and you googled it? You can apply the same tactic to so many other aspects in life! @nashedgerton @jennaown @VZerbst @bluetonguefilms VOTE YES

I always find it odd then people equate complexity with individuals feeling uncertain. You can be uncertain in a complicated environment as well if you don't understand or control it. Complexity is very natural to humans, its how we manage our family, our friendships and life in general. Some of this is infantilization - gas-lighting people to need therapy of various types. Some of it lies in the structures we put into place to manage organisations. But then the solution is to change those structures, not to make people 'comfortable' or 'certain', maybe making them sure footed might be better

@agilewhitegirl *assumes nerdy Scrumdamentlist tone of voice*
‘Hmmmmmmm, now wait a minute… was it the 2016 update? I think… wait… um… “
*while thumbing through printed, laminated copies of The Guide*

@agilewhitegirl @TheDawnOfEva Ouch! Seen. What if I told you I only followed you because Esther and Jutta do?! I mean it’s not true, but still…

Simon is awesome. You should probably go to this, whether you think you need to, or not.

English

@agilewhitegirl Totally! I can imagine Dean Leffingwell rubbing his hands together in delight when he worked out all the loaded meaning and power in that acronym.

@cgosimon Yes! I mean, I’ve only been waiting 6 years for a reprise!
2017-ish, Sydney Scrum User thingy MeetUp (via Rowan).
Wasn’t recorded, sadly.

@CGLambdin When I realised the all of my "agile coaching" was actually just trying to get people to *think* (or, for those already thinking, *critically think*) – in systems where they are not incentivised to do so – I had to step away and took a long hard look at my life.

When “agile coaching” I never mention agile

When "agile coaching" I don't deal in absolutes or panaceas. Some do.

Today's post, how zombie nouns meander like the living dead throughout our organizations, spreading confusion, and how the wheelbarrow test can stop them

@eikonne @CGLambdin Totally. The ‘put it in a wheelbarrow’ test is hilarious and brilliant!
Also - that final point on defining what those words mean for your company and in your context (which I think @johncutlefish has also written on) is just so important (and never done).
English

Another thought generating piece by @CGLambdin.
The dangers of nominalization. (See what I did there?)
What do you think?
