ICE’s detention of a NYC Council staffer who was following every rule is an absolute disgrace. Using masked agents to snatch a public servant at a routine check-in is an authoritarian tactic. He must be released now, and basic due process must be restored.

ICE tore 6-year-old Yuanxin from his father at a check-in at 26 Federal Plaza, and they still won’t say where he is. Between January & October, ICE arrested 151 children. They are tearing families apart and traumatizing kids. My heart is with this family. We need answers now.

When EPA workers raise the alarm about cuts that endanger our communities, they deserve protection not punishment. Putting 139 public servants on leave for speaking out is retaliation, plain and simple. We can’t build climate justice by silencing the very people fighting for it.
