@JackDangerLIVE And if my kids wanted to drive something that looked just like it on the street, local government would lose their s*** but since a large corporation decided to do it, that's all right.

🚨 THIS THING IS DELIVERING FOOD… AND IT LOOKS LIKE A JOKE 🚨 DoorDash just dropped something called the “DoorDash Dot”… …and people are stopping in the street because it doesn’t make sense. 🤖 What people are actually seeing: This thing is TINY. Not “small car” small. Not “drone” small. I’m talking… ➡️ looks like a lunchbox ➡️ moves like a toy ➡️ feels like it shouldn’t even work 💥 AND YET, IT’S OUT HERE DOING THIS: ➡️ Driving itself through real streets ➡️ Pulling up to restaurants like a regular customer ➡️ Picking up orders with zero human involved ➡️ Navigating sidewalks, traffic, obstacles… ALL ON ITS OWN ➡️ Showing up at someone’s house with dinner inside No driver. No delivery guy. No interaction. Just… this little box… handling business. 😳 THIS IS THE PART THAT MESSES WITH YOUR HEAD: Your brain sees it and goes: “There’s no way that thing is actually functioning.” But it is. Perfectly. ⚠️ This isn’t about food. Not really. This is: ➡️ AI moving through the real world without supervision ➡️ Machines interacting with businesses like humans ➡️ Automation replacing jobs in ways people aren’t ready for ➡️ Technology shrinking… while getting MORE powerful 📦 WE’VE OFFICIALLY HIT THE POINT WHERE THE FUTURE LOOKS FAKE… BUT IT’S REAL. And it’s not coming “someday.” It’s already out there… rolling up to a restaurant… grabbing an order… and pulling away like it owns the place. 🚨 YOU’RE NOT READY FOR HOW FAST THIS IS ABOUT TO SCALE. 🚨

@SecDuffy Except you won't build truck parking on the interstate on-ramps and you won't penalize shippers and receivers for delays. So who cares out of the million trucks 20,000 are gone. You'll buy into the younger driver programs the churn and burn carriers want also.

@ZeekArkham The 10 percent was for the Levites. Do you know any Levites running the local government? Get out of there. Here is how to pick a church. If they teach the Salvation message every week and twice on Sundays, the church is dead.

For a change of pace… The church my family has been attending for the past couple years isn’t something I’m happy with. The pastor has fully embraced “prosperity preaching” and spends entire sermons clubbing you over the head to tithe. I seriously feel like he’s a bad month away from his own “lock the doors” moment. His wife, the “co-pastor,” literally turned her back on me when I was going through a rough period, both personally and professionally. Honestly, growing up, I never had a good church relationship. There was a LOT of bad disguised as good. The older I get, the more I realize how toxic that environment was. For my little girl, I want her to grow up in faith. I want her to be a true believer in the Word. I want her to enjoy Christ and a relationship with Him. I only hope we can find a really good church in Florida that can nurture all of it. Y’all pray for my family and I, please.

@Billyndroid @Average12021279 @priceertag_ @AdamBLiv And that would all be true if we didn't have a Fiat banking system that had a chokehold on the entire world's monetary distribution. Bitcoin Bros can claim all they want that they're outside of that and that's just an outright lie.

@Dan_is_SuperBug @Average12021279 @priceertag_ @AdamBLiv Then you will know as much as anyone that convincing people to learn why their money is getting debased, then making the leap to potentially see bitcoin as the answer, then spending a few cycles learning that adoption is slow and brings volatility is a slow road?

Your grandfather bought a house, raised four kids, and retired on a single income as a milkman. You have two engineering degrees, a side hustle, and a girlfriend with a job, and you’re priced out of a studio above a vape shop. But yeah, tell me more about how Bitcoin is the scam.

@AStockAccount1 @0xRarest Yes, it's called sales tax. Eliminate property tax and you will be paying taxes based on your ability to engage in economic activity. Unlike now, the fixed income person gets priced out of their own house by property taxes.

@Billyndroid @Average12021279 @priceertag_ @AdamBLiv Did you even read the post? I agree with you. Except it's not a currency and it's highly volatile and there's no guarantee it's going to go back up. You act like this is a sure deal. If it was then it means everybody on the planet ought to be into it. For some reason they're not.

@Average12021279 @priceertag_ @AdamBLiv Great then everyone is on the same page. Bitcoin is not the savior of the world as currency. It's another highly volatile instrument that more likely than not can bankrupt you if you don't treat it that way.

@priceertag_ @AdamBLiv Yes, the Bitcoin Bros never talk about the volatility. Bitcoin is never going to be currency. It's a speculative fabrication that they hope they can get a good pump going so they can dump just like you experienced. It will probably come back... eventually.

@theswansjr So you can buy Bitcoin on a Monday, have it crash 50% on a Thursday and your utility pitch is I can send 50 K somewhere like I can with any other currency. Oh and Once I send the 50k I have to report it to the IRS. Yep sounds great.

Normie logic: Bitcoin has no practical use. Really? Bitcoin settles billions in transactions daily—globally—without a bank, a wire fee, a three-day ACH hold, or a compliance officer. You can send $50,000 in Bitcoin to someone in Lagos or Lisbon at 2 a.m. on a Sunday in under ten minutes for less than a dollar. Try that with your gold bar or silver coins. Bitcoin is the first asset in history that cannot be inflated, seized, or frozen. To me, this is obviously a practical use case.

This one blows my mind. Veteran has his life savings stolen from him by Navada Highway Patrol. Stephen Lara was driving from Texas to California to visit his daughters. He was pulled over by the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) on I-80 for allegedly following a tanker truck too closely. During the stop: Lara was transparent with officers, voluntarily disclosing that he had a large amount of cash—$82,374—stored in his trunk in a zip-top bag. He explained that he preferred to keep his life savings in cash due to a distrust of banks and provided receipts to show the money was legally withdrawn from his accounts. Despite Lara’s cooperation and the lack of any evidence of a crime (no drugs or illegal items were found), the officers used a drug-sniffing dog to "alert" on the money. Under Civil Asset Forfeiture laws, the NHP seized the entire amount and handed it over to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) through a process known as "equitable sharing." Lara, represented by the Institute for Justice (IJ), filed a federal lawsuit to get his money back. The case highlighted several controversial aspects of the legal system: Civil Asset Forfeiture: This practice allows the government to seize property suspected of being involved in a crime, even if the owner is never charged or convicted. The "Loophole": By handing the money to the DEA, the NHP could bypass Nevada’s stricter state laws regarding forfeiture and receive up to 80% of the proceeds back from the federal government. After months of legal pressure and growing media attention, the DEA eventually agreed to return the full $82,374 to Lara. It's unbelievable that anyone would have to go through all of this, but even worse one of our heros that served for our county. My opinion they should have had to pay interest on the money they basically stole from him.

This Amazon driver is complaining about the boxes being heavy for this delivery. He seems to be angry about it. This family has a recurring monthly order. Their autistic son only drinks one kind of drink that's really hard to find. The total weight of the 6 packages was 30.7 Ibs, total. Four boxes were the drinks, one box was vitamins, last was chips. You’re a delivery driver. Some packages are light and some are going to be heavy. I'm honestly more concerned about the guy’s health than anything else. Do you think delivery drivers should be complaining about delivering heavy boxes? If you are going to do that job, don’t you think you should be able to lift a certain amount of weight?
👉M-Û-R-Č-H👈@TheEXECUTlONER_

This UPS driver and Amazon driver both delivered packages to the same house at the same time. Before they leave the UPS driver suggests to him that he may want to move the packages to the side so that they won’t have to come out too far. The Amazon driver doesn’t seem too thrilled as he walks away. Some say they would have ignored the UPS driver and others say that’s the problem right there. People also pointed out that UPS makes more money than Amazon drivers, so that could be the difference. Should it matter how much you get paid? Shouldn’t you still do the best job you can? Or, do you think it’s not a big deal and the UPS guy should have minded his own business?

When my son got one of his first jobs with a manufacturing company, he complained how he was “doing all the work” making parts that sold for hundreds of dollars a piece while only making $20 an hour. “It’s unfair to the workers!” he said. “You sound like a liberal.” I said. He made a classic mistake I see people make over and over. They only look at the hard cost of goods and final sale price. They don’t understand anything in between. I pointed out that the company he worked for only makes an 8% profit. Their total profit on that $400 part was really only about $32. “There’s no way.” he said. “The bar stock only costs about $8.” To him, his argument was logical. Every day his hands turned $8 worth of aluminum bars into thousands of dollars of product, but he only got about $160 of that. That seemed unfair. I asked him “What about all of the other people in the company? The ones who aren’t making the parts.” He hadn’t thought about that. I explained that every hand along that product’s journey from creation to the customer is another person who has to get paid. The engineers who designed and tested it, long before you made it. The person who packed it in a box. The person who made the manuals that go with it. The person who answers the phone when a customer has a problem later. The people who order the materials and maintain the machines and sweep the floors and clean the toilets after you leave. The accountants and lawyers and insurance companies who keep the business organized, compliant, and protected if the part you made fails. All of those people are paid for from those parts you made. And all of them get their paychecks whether the parts are sold right away or not. On top of that, there’s the cost of the facility itself. The building, heating and cooling it, and every piece of equipment inside it. All of those costs are paid before the owner makes one cent. “At the end of the day, you’re actually making more money from every unit you make than he is.“ He understood it after that. Running a business is the hardest way to make money. Roughly 90% of entrepreneurs will fail. Don’t get me wrong, the reward can be great if you’re one of the 10% that makes it, but that results in a confirmation bias. You only see the winners. You never heard about the 90% that failed before they made it. You see the guy in the big office who looks like he doesn’t work as hard as you, but you never saw what it took to get there. You never saw the times he went without a paycheck so he could make payroll. You never felt the stress of being denied necessary capital, or losing an important customer, or under-bidding on a contract and losing money on every unit. You’ve never felt the repercussions of making the wrong call. If you mess up, one customer is marginally inconvenienced, and you can fix it with another $8 part. If HE messes up, you and everyone else have no job. You can be the guy on top if you’re willing to take the risks they took and do the work they did to get there. Or you can do your part and collect your paycheck while someone else worries about that stuff. And that’s OK too, because the world needs both. The beauty of capitalism is that you get to choose which one you want to be.

@FinancialPhys Groks answer, The same equivalent basket of goods (priced in stable gold terms) could not be bought today with the current minimum wage. You'd need a much higher wage (roughly 3–26× higher, depending on the reference year) to match the gold purchasing power of those earlier eras
