@SkySportsNews Every club should just unite and no longer signing players from Chelsea. Let the wage bill cripple them.

@BenDavison_ @anthonyjoshua @leewylieboxing People have really changed their tune in your comments these days Ben! Well done mate, good to see you doing so well. Time for AJ v Fury….

@SpursOfficial The board takes no responsibility despite being the highest paid in the league

@fesshole Spell checking your Tweets clearly isn’t YOUR thing.

@DreadLindwyrm @cdtwriter @PaulEmbery That’s hundreds of years. Now new pronouns/genders are being created every week. What does ze/zim/zir even mean?
English

@cdtwriter @PaulEmbery Languages change.
New words are invented, old words get new uses. Some words are just lost.
Somewhere between Shakespeare and now we lost an entire pronoun set (thou/thee/thy/thine etc - the "tu" form), and it's now only used in dialect, and misused by people trying to be fancy.
English

Greggs to introduce pronoun badges - including for “neo-pronouns” such as ze/zir/zirs - as part of its pledge to “reflect the communities we serve”. Except it doesn’t reflect our communities view at all. Most people think this sort of thing totally insane. telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/12/1…

@Michael35715972 @AndrewConnell73 @jamessmithPT_ Haha exchanges with randoms on the internet don’t make me mad. You’ve invented a technicality but it’s a simple question.
English

@DanielFells26 @AndrewConnell73 @jamessmithPT_ Don’t get mad.
I think it’s sweet that you assumed the random person would love if you decline the money.
On an unrelated note, I host a monthly poker game and will dm you an invite!
English

@DanielFells26 @AndrewConnell73 @jamessmithPT_ It doesn’t say the person lives if you decline the money.
Use #Logic, not #feelz
English

@Michael35715972 @AndrewConnell73 @jamessmithPT_ No, that’s what you seem to be saying. It’s not a non-factor if they died because you took money.
English

@Michael35715972 @AndrewConnell73 @jamessmithPT_ So you’re ok with a person, including possibly a loved one or child, dying so you get £10k because people die anyway. Fair enough.
English

@DanielFells26 @AndrewConnell73 @jamessmithPT_ Oh, then it’s just like any other day in that “someone you know might die.”
A non-factor.
English

@SammyChong1985 @jamessmithPT_ There are certainly many ways to look at it. Thanks for sharing the Give Well link. I will be making make a donation as it seems like a great cause.
English

@DanielFells26 @jamessmithPT_ I see your point. But that is “if you keep the money they die, therefore you killed them” it’s an interesting idea and I think it was “die with zero” that first got me on to the idea. If you are interested in making your money save the most lives givewell.org is good.
English

@SammyChong1985 @jamessmithPT_ If you take the money they die, if you don’t take it they live. You are therefore killing them if you take the money. I’m sure you could save many lives today if you wanted to but that doesn’t mean you should send every penny you earn to charity
English

@DanielFells26 @jamessmithPT_ I think there is a difference between “killing someone” and “someone random dying”, don’t you? As we know from Charities, it costs less than £1,000 to save someone’s life so it could be “10 definite deaths and you are responsible, but potentially more lives saved overall”
English

@SammyChong1985 @jamessmithPT_ It says a random person, so you may know them. You are being paid to kill someone, you’re just not doing the killing yourself. The moral argument doesn’t hold up for me
English

@DanielFells26 @jamessmithPT_ Harsh one. Maybe. It’s harder to say when there isn’t the imminent threat of death. The original question basically asks how much money is a life worth if you don’t know them. It’s different to “how much does it cost to save a life?”
English

@SammyChong1985 @jamessmithPT_ 1. Would you sacrifice your own life to save those 10 people
2. If not, how many people would have to be saved for you to put yourself forward
English

@jamessmithPT_ You can absolutely save more that 10 lives with that amount. That was my reasoning for saying “yes”
