Every year (around March/April and October) the City is treated to the spectacular views of the Tabebuia Rosea a.k.a Cherry Blossom/Pink Poui.
Anyone knows what this tree is called in any of our local languages?

The solution is simple: demolish some buildings constructed in the water catchment area around those flooding hotspots. Then, remove the marum they deposited there and allow the area to regenerate. We shall have no floods again. You clearly construct your house in a water park, or basin, or catchment. Where do you expect water to go, knowing it doesn't forget its way or territory?

As cities in the Uganda (Kampala) and other nations suffer from heat waves, one proven way to cool urban areas and clean air is by growing trees. The solution is simple but there are numerous barriers to increasing tree cover in urban areas. @KatalikaweW @KigoziMaggie @nemaug
