LET THIS SINK IN Based on U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) nonfarm payroll employment data — Since January 1989 (around the end of the Cold War), the U.S. has added roughly 51–52 million net jobs. Of those, Democratic presidents oversaw about 50 million (96–98%), while Republican presidents oversaw roughly 1–1.3 million (2–4%). Based on data from the U.S Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), and analyses from economists — Since 1989, the U.S. economy has performed better on average under Democratic presidents than Republican presidents across most major metrics - real GDP growth, job creation, unemployment reduction, and stock market returns. REPUBLICANS DON'T KNOW HOW TO GOVERN.

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani
When we came into office, we uncovered a $12 billion budget deficit. Today, I’m proud to say we brought it down to zero. We didn’t close the gap on the backs of working people. We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing. Call it Pothole Politics. Call it Democratic Socialism. It's government that delivers for the people who make this city run. That’s what New Yorkers deserve. And that’s what we will keep fighting for every single day.

NYC Mayor Mamdani announces that they have fully balanced NYC's budget, reducing a $12 billion budget deficit to 0. While funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing. But... communism...

Earth not flat: Correct. Gravity exists: Yes. Contrails are not chemtrails: Science confirms—they're water vapor. Iran never weeks from nuclear ICBM: US intel (DIA) says 2035+ even if pursued. Accurate. Biden didn’t let in over 20M illegals: CBP data shows ~10-11M southwest encounters FY21-25 (not all entered/stayed). 20M claim overstated. Correct. Putin helped Trump 2016: US intel consensus—Russia interfered to aid Trump. 2020 election not stolen: Courts, states, audits confirmed. No.

some Americans have literally been paying into Social Security for 50, 60 years; & this multi-billionaire from South Africa dismisses Social Security as a mere "entitlement"--not workers' actual pay, deferred. cutting Social Security would be literally--not metaphorically: literally--stealing earned money from American citizens. please let us hope that MAGA gets this news from some source other than Fox; otherwise, MAGA might agree to it without comprehending.
ALUTHEDON@Mbakaza4L

And there it is. Elon Musk just said he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”: “That’s the big one to eliminate.”

AOC is correct about one thing, SHE could never become a billionaire. She’s way too dumb to generate any societal value in a meritocracy. However, she’s just dumb enough to make a fortune as a democrat politician appealing to the liberal freeloader class.

Two things can be right at the same time You’re right about job loss and a lot of those job losses almost 10,000 of those job losses are related to hospitality and construction jobs because we’ve chased out all the immigrant construction workers in the state You’re also right about the fact that you hate Ron DeSantis and he hates you and so what better way to troll him then to show his abysmal record for the last eight years That does not absolve you from the part you had in creating this affordability mess And the most disgusting part is the people who are leaving are YOUNG people who were educated here in our colleges and have to leave in order to find a decent paying job THIS IS THE RESULT OF 30 YEARS OF REPUBLICAN RULE IN THE STATE

No, the ~150 per 100k (CDC early data) myocarditis rate after COVID infection was from 2020–early 2021, before vaccines were widespread—so mostly unvaccinated. Later studies including vaccinated people still show infection risk substantially higher than vaccine risk (typically 5–15x), even with breakthrough cases. Vaccination often mitigates severity.

@bfacedplague @DrNeilStone Wrong. It wasn't ineffective. You don't understand the facts. Covid vaccines did not stop all infections, but had an almost immediate & profoundly positive impact — the severity of illness declined markedly & tragic death rates declined dramatically. x.com/i/grok/share/4…

Yes. Maryland Dept. of the Environment says Joint Base Andrews (US Air Force/DoD) leaked ~32,000 gallons of jet fuel Jan-Mar 2026. The base delayed full reporting until April 8, violating its state oil permit, after a sheen appeared near Piscataway Creek headwaters on Mar 23. Pipe isolated; cleanup ongoing.

Farm bankruptcies are rising again. 📈 Peaked in 2019–2020 under Trump 📉 Fell to a 20-year low under Biden 📈 Now rising again up 46% in 2025 under Trump Where it’s hitting hardest: • Midwest (+70%) • Southeast (+69%) States like Arkansas, Georgia, and Iowa are spiking.

Bizarre. Trump genuinely seems to believe his own lie that $18 trillion in foreign investment has come into the US in one year. In fact, foreign direct investment in the U.S. in 2025 was around $300 billion. $18 trillion is more than half of US GDP. It's utterly insane to believe that that much investment came into the US in one year. But Trump seems to believe it.
Acyn@Acyn

Trump: 18 trillion now pouring into our country. Less than 1 trillion in 4 years. That's 18 times more, but think of it, it's really almost 100 times more if you really multiply it out properly

The Trump administration has downsized US science by historic margins — but it's not just via grant or workforce cuts. Our new @nature analysis reveals the government has cut more than 100 scientific advisory panels across all major science agencies.
