@AshFarms The NLT is a great reading and reference bible. Most people who say you got the wrong one are the stodgy holier that thou group that only believes their selected version is the right one. I have been reading it for some time now and it has helped my understanding

So I have two questions from the comments. - Is there more than one Bible? Some people are saying I got the wrong one and I thought there only was one. - Jesus came to America? I didn't know that.

@AshFarms The book of Acts is a good place after the gospels as it brings to life the disciples into apostles. Books like Romans, Hebrews, and Revelation are harder to understand, but will give a deep understanding. Pauls letters to the churches are good for understanding living in Christ

@AshFarms I always recommend the book of Luke as it starts with the birth of Christ, but John works as well. I would definitely recommend reading all of the gospels first, then venturing to the rest of the new testament before going into the old testament.

If you've been following, you know about my quest to learn about Jesus. We realized we didn't have a Bible and today it arrived. Thankfully, it did not spontaneously combust when I touched it - so we've got that going for us. Where should we start? I think we are going to read a section every evening, we get up at 4:45 and the morning is already rushed. I know the Jesus part is in the second half, but it's going to take a long time to read the whole book. So what is a good starting point? Thank you all for all of the support. It's weird talking about real life on here and not just being completely obnoxious (love you, my boomers). I'm finding a way to still be me and explore this without guilt and shame. Why I started an X account? I am on a mission to speak with the EPA and it seems the best way to make that happen. Current laws prevent me from showing my millions of viewers how to remove carburetor limiter caps and adjust their carburetors (right to repair). Yes, there a many videos out there already showing these procedures, but in fact, if the EPA wanted to, there are already laws in place from the Clean Air Act where they could fine each person 10's of thousands of dollars for their videos. They consider it worse when a supposed "small engine professional" does it. The fact is, the absolute "greenest" thing a person can do is repair their existing unit instead of it ending up in the junkyard. As of now, if I sell a carburetor adjusting tool to one of my customers, I could receive a $3,750 fine, but they can buy them all day long on Amazon??? The EPA has made outdoor power product companies jump through hoops for emission standards, when these saws coming from China obviously do not have to comply. Many more users are deciding to modify their chainsaws for better performance. Did you know you could face a $5,000 fine for modifying your own saw or $25,000 if it is one you are selling? I don't know if I will get anywhere on my mission, but if I don't try, I definitely won't... @epaleezeldin
