DLC Sao Paulo 🇧🇷 - 3rd Place 🥉 Happy news first: I’ve won my 6th Mickey!!! ❤️ My last match just went as bad as all the other recent DLCs. Missed ramp G1 and 3. Just needed it once to take the match. 🫠 Overall the event was really smooth and I had a lot of fun! My motivation was a little bit down, but this event showed me again, why I‘m doing all of this: - Great community 🔥 - Awesome friends ❤️ - Super fun gameplay 💪🏼 - Golden Mickeys 😉 I love Lorcana so much and I‘m so hyped for Infinity and super hungry for another win! I cannot describe how grateful I am! 🙏🏻 See you next event, DLC Dortmund! 🫡

@Fungus317 @TFMDan_Lorcana I mean you can't expect much when only 1 color has good card draw and there aren't really any good interactive spells (cheap and efficient).

I really really think it is powerful enough to beat out whatever hate you might think you have for it. Their card quality is higher than the "answers" for it. We saw dogs power through things teched for it over and over. This is a problem that comes from giving an aggro deck so much resilience.

About to board my flight. Yes Dogs has Won back 2 back DLCs (arguably 3 with “2” this weekend). The deck is better into the field with a lack of respect for it. Maybe consider giving up edge in your 🟣 mirror, to beat 🟢🟡before calling for any bans… #DIsneyLorcanatcg

@ThePurplePanzy @BradenMTG @DaveS_Lorcana if deck A is a 9/10 and deck B is a 8/10 but deck A is twice as hard to pilot. Then deck B would almost always have a higher win rate because it's not that much worse in power level but way easier to pilot and win with. In mtg this has happened multiple times.

@BradenMTG @DaveS_Lorcana Can you define this? On its face, it is an absurd statement, but I'm wondering if you mean that the data does not account for optimal piloting and that the ceiling of the deck is the highest. The best deck is the one that wins.

Interesting that the three highest W/R decks on both simulators are Amethyst, yet all the complaints are about dogs. I think if you hack up purple cards (and sail) until ruby cards are playable, the dogs problem will solve itself.

@ScheinTCG @Fungus317 Pudge requires having a specific card in your deck. One you probably only run 4 copies of, how is that not “insanely conditional?” Lefou let you play him by doing normal game actions.

I think these things are pretty glaring design mistakes. I guess every card game has to learn this lesson.

@MilkWorldGlobal @SeffyrRB @MreMOEtional I'm not saying he cheated or not but it's a somewhat common thing where people can't find their phone when it's in their hand or can't find their glasses when they are wearing them. It's not impossible to believe drawing an extra card could happen on accident and not realize.

@bstee @LotharHS Well being able to draw 2 rds out of 5 is 40% of the rds. Then being able to draw 2 rds out of 9 is roughly 20% of the rds. So while his numbers aren't exact they aren't far off for 9 rds and they are below the percentage for 5 rds.

@LotharHS Usually players of an 5-9ish round tournament that are undefeated can draw twice with two rounds to go, and those with a single loss can draw once with a single round to go. I think "locking up" a top cut position and taking an hour break is fine. Where are you seeing 25-33%?

This applies to every card game: If, at any point of a tournament, it’s mathematically better to NOT play the game rather than playing the game - it means the tournament system is flawed and needs to be looked at. And that’s what is happening with Intentional Draws. I don’t blame the players for taking IDs. I also take them for my own advantage, but it literally makes no sense to travel to a tournament and ELECT NOT to play between 25-33% of the tournament because it makes no sense for the match to happen.

@Helaidback @YessirskiHowl @OhhMar24 Sure if he misses 2 of those shots they are in trouble however I'm sure if wemby plays more than 20 mins and it isn't his first game in like a month he would likely make up for those two shots offensively and maybe even defensively.

If you watched the game and paid attention to his shot attempts all of them except maybe 2 or 3 shots he actually got free were extremely tough. They were very difficult shots that most players don’t make or even get off on OKC. That’s what I meant by crazy. If he misses even 2 of those.. They loses. So I’m being honest, if he has to make those type of shots just for them to win by two. That is not a good thing

ok but like imagine this is your bubble round into top cut at a DLC and your opponent is in the middle of the hand motion *pass turn* thing but doesn't say pass turn and right before they actually say pass turn they're like "oh shit go go i'm gonna take back this turn"
