A Calgary Police officer was injured when their marked vehicle was rear-ended by an impaired driver on Stoney Trail last night 😳 Around 8:45 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, the officer was conducting a traffic stop on southbound Stoney Trail S.E. at 88 Street S.E. when a white 2015 Dodge Caravan crashed into their parked vehicle with emergency lights activated. The impact caused significant damage, trapping the officer inside. They were extracted and taken to hospital with minor injuries. The police car also struck the stopped vehicle, but its driver was unharmed. The Dodge Caravan driver, Nolan Taylor WATT, 37, was uninjured and arrested on scene. He faces charges including impaired driving, exceeding the legal alcohol limit, and impaired driving causing bodily harm.
