Last week, I banned ALL state employees from using insider information to make money on prediction markets.
But it’s not a sudden revelation for me. On my very first day in office, I signed an Executive Order outlining the ethical standards and expectations that would apply to EVERY member of my administration.
Later on, I signed into law legislation that made Maryland one of the first states in the nation to require the governor to place their interests into a blind trust and we created a Performance Cabinet that works around-the-clock to ensure all functions of our administration are ethical and efficient.
Corruption has no place in my administration or in Maryland.
