@75ThunderRoad This thread is fascinating and troubling. I am perplexed as to why the Trauma Informed Schools’ list of 32 trauma doesn’t include the school or the education system. I wish you and your family all the very best.

@AndyGJBurge @wheresmybook In the ‘70s I was at an independent grammar school in Yorkshire. Yorkshire cricket club scouts came. All kids not born in Yorkshire were excluded. That was me, the Irish and the Asians (even if they were born in Yorkshire)

@SouthWestWater But @SouthWestWater Colliford doesn’t feed Stithians. This is madness or worse. Look at the picture for the levels, not your spreadsheet.
English

@DavidAynsley Stithians is currently at 79.4% as of 10/07/23. The reason we still have the ban in place is because of the level of Colliford. If you look at your reservoir levels, you can see that the X on the graph is the target level for the removal of the ban: bit.ly/3OhjeRe -Emily
English

@SouthWestWater here is Stithians lake today. I’ve hardly ever seen it this full in July. Why have we got a TUB ban down here? I’m not interested in Colliford.

O dear Lord. Just taken part in a 'You Gov chat' which is predicated on the assertion that the police should 'believe' complainants.
I have responded: I am absolutely horrified that these questions are put on the basis of the police 'believing' ANYONE. The police are there to take allegations seriously and investigate, not 'believe'. This is no part of their role and leads to very serious miscarriages of justice, as the Henriques report set out very clearly re Operation Midland. Are we condemned to simply make the same mistakes over and over again?

@DavidAynsley @SouthWestWater The girls' school had a leak but SWW refused to fix it until it had lost X number of thousand litres which continually poured down the road for almost a week. When the school's water went off, they finally came & fixed it!
Keep it going Uncle D... I'll get the custard creams 🥰

A hosepipe ban means we can safeguard water supplies following limited & inconsistent rainfall over past months
We know that Temporary Use Bans/Hosepipe Bans can be confusing & worrying, so we've got a guide to explain what it means & how it affects you southwestwater.co.uk/tub

@SouthWestWater @HeritageMedic @EnvAgencySW Lack of investment, huge dividends and borrowing to pay dividend with huge debt. Trebles all round. waternewseurope.com/privatised-wat…

@SouthWestWater @StargirlHev Hi Laura at @SouthWestWater it wouldn’t matter if you recycled treated water back into reservoirs but you don’t recycle one drop. Nationalisation is on the horizon.
English

@StargirlHev @DavidAynsley Hi Heather. Businesses are currently exempt from the Temporary Use Ban. We are working closely with retailers to promote the importance of water saving and ask that they still be mindful of their water usage. - Laura
English

@StargirlHev @SouthWestWater I know. It’s madness Heather. ❤️
English

@DavidAynsley @SouthWestWater @DavidAynsley I absolutely love your replies on this matter 🤣
I am not allowed to use my hosepipe to put 30 litres of water into the girls' paddling pool but last week was allowed to jet wash the van at our local garage for a full 6 minutes...
English

@SouthWestWater So @SouthWestWater recycle treated water into Colliford. But you don’t recycle a single drop. Madness.
English

@DavidAynsley The current level of Siblyback Reservoir is 84.3%. However, for the water resource zone as a whole it is only 63.9%. Colliford, the strategic reservoir for the area is at 59.7% capacity and feeds the other smaller reservoirs, such as this one.
English

@SouthWestWater @SiontheWander You don’t mind? Good grief. Who the hell are you? That is probably the most patronising remark from @SouthWestWater this year. Ordinarily we don’t mind a bit of sewage going into the sea but enough is enough.

English

@SiontheWander There is no compensation as a result of the Temporary Use Ban. Your bill is for water used for washing, drinking, sanitation and central heating.Ordinarily we don't mind you using water for other non-essential purposes but there is not enough water for these activities currently.
English

@SouthWestWater @SouthWestWater oh I see. Review is a euphemism for changing your mind and adding another restriction from the list in S36. legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2010/29/…
English

@DavidAynsley It was not mistaken David, as advised, the exemptions are subject regular review. They were reviewed and updated after the advice above was given to you. We've recently updated our website, and spoken on the radio to advise of the changes made. Apologies for any inconvenience.
English

@SouthWestWater Very interesting @SouthWestWater but would you please answer the question that I asked. I’ll make it clear for you. Was your previous advice to me over twitter mistaken?
English

@DavidAynsley After a further review of the guidance, we wanted to clarify the exemptions in place, to make them clearer for customers to understand. These exceptions are subject to regular review, as we follow our regulated drought plan, and continue to monitor the current drought situation.
English

@SouthWestWater Yes @SouthWestWater I questioned this at the time and this is the reply I got. What has changed please? The law or your understanding if the law?

English

@DavidAynsley However, if you are connecting your hose to a water butt for example, and not running this from your mains supply, you are of course permitted to do so. You can read more on our updated exemptions, here: bit.ly/3Wu2N67 (3/3) - Abby
English

@SouthWestWater Meanwhile, at Siblyback last Saturday ….. Notice anything? That’s right. It’s nearly full.
