@rushicrypto It's not any one of them that gets rewarded. It's a combination of skill/intelligence, talent, and hard work that gets rewarded. It's that plus some luck, but for the most part people make their own breaks.

If capitalism truly rewarded skill or intelligence, the richest people would be neurosurgeons, engineers, and scientists. If it rewarded talent, it would be artists, writers, and creators. If it rewarded hard work, it would be cleaners, laborers, and service workers. But it’s none of them.

Thank you for sharing that. It’s the same pattern everywhere, isn’t it? In Japan we’re just now seeing even a small Hinomaru on a bus being called “discriminatory” on our own national holiday. It really does feel like a coordinated effort to make people ashamed of loving their own country. It’s reassuring to know we’re not alone in noticing this.

My hands are shaking writing this. A small Japanese flag, the size of a paperback book, tied to the bumper of a city bus on a Japanese national holiday in 2026. And online, someone is calling it "discriminatory." A flag. A bus. A national holiday. In Japan. In Paris, the tricolor covers every boulevard on July 14. Nobody calls it discriminatory. In Texas, every porch flies the Stars and Stripes on July 4. Nobody calls it discriminatory. In London, the Union Jack drapes Buckingham Palace for the King. Nobody calls it discriminatory. Only here. Only our flag. Only on our own holidays, on our own buses, on our own quiet streets. I keep asking how we got here. I do not have an answer. That flag is not too loud. The shame trying to silence it is.

@TheVeryBestJoe @Mrgunsngear Nonsense. I'm an older high school grad - no college - and I know exactly how to pronounce gauche and I know what it means. I've known it all my adult life. ANY high school grad should know that, not just 'the smart ones'. What this video shows is borderline criminal.

@Mrgunsngear I bet 90% of people of all races and ages couldn't pronounce "gauche" correctly without stumbling over it at least a bit. Even very smart people who read a lot and know what "gauche" means likely don't hear it often and probably have never said it out loud.

A high school senior in Philadelphia made a video series asking fellow seniors to read a simple sentence written in english and they're incapable of completing the simple task. If you go to his IG (handle on right side of the video) you'll see he makes tons of seemingly humorous videos like this but this one went viral for obvious reasons and now the school is saying he may not be allowed to graduate from the charter school due to the videos. The school seems completely fine with students not being able to read but they're not okay with the public seeing that they can't read. @GayRepublicSwag I'm about as conservative as they come. I'd slash my wrists with a tablespoon before I'd ever vote for a Democrat. I don't care what people do behind closed doors with consenting adults. I treat them as they treat me. Some of the kindest people I've known are gay.

@segal7268 @KlaoMadeli92705 It used to be. My Merriam Webster New Collegiate Dictionary from 1976 defines gender with one word: sex. That's it, gender=sex. Since there have been no breakthroughs in biology since then that definition is still true.

@JayJosephVet The Tigers and Panthers were designed as main battle tanks to support German tank use philosophy. The US did not have an MBT. The Sherman was designed as an infantry support tank that got shoved into the role of an MBT.

I'm having such a good day on X! I love it when the Brits get mouthy!! The US “only” picks up 16% of the fancy NATO common “tab” (that cute little shared espresso fund for Brussels meetings and fancy headquarters)? Same as Germany? UK at 14%? Wow!! Meanwhile the actual military that keeps Putin from turning Europe into a Russian theme park? The nukes, the carriers, the airlift, the intel, the command structure, the troops actually stationed over there so you don’t have to? Yeah that’s apparently “not the NATO tab.” Got it! So we’ll just keep spending hundreds of billions more than the rest of you combined while you pat yourselves on the back for scraping together your 1.7% GDP and calling it “solidarity.” And the arms sales? Yeah we “get” them… because we’re the only ones who actually build stuff that works instead of sending you 30yr old rust buckets and praying. You’re welcome! Israel aid? Completely irrelevant to NATO, but sure, throw that in there so it sounds like you did research instead of just regurgitating the same tired cope Europeans have used for 70 years. 🙄 Keep telling yourself the big boys’ club is “fair” while you hide behind our military like it’s your personal force field. We could pull out tomorrow and your entire continent would be learning Russian by breakfast. But please… keep lecturing us about the 16% coffee fund. It’s adorable. XOXO (We’ll still be here when you need us again. You always do.) P.S. How's that Net Zero working out for you? 😂🤣
nickp@hatternick

@RealTraderJill The US actually picks up 16% of the NATO "tab" - same as Germany. UK pick up 14%. US gets 54 times as much in arms sales to NATO countries. It gives Israel 4 x as much. Paying your own armed forces worldwide isn't picking up the "NATO tab"

@ScottforIndi @RealTraderJill @hatternick Vietnam was abandoned by Democrat politicians in the US. The military won their encounters with the north and literally had the NVA on the ropes during the Tet offensive. In Iraq, here again the military decimated Saddam Husseins forces but once again the US Democrats gave away

@Oceanbreeze473 The rotor is not mounted in this distributor. I set the points gap by eye on my '64 Squareback VW once (.018") and it ran fine. I did it in the dark using only a flashlight. VW's were pretty forgiving.

@JohnMor66719851 @ClimateWarrior7 Completely different animals. The swan tops out at mach 2.05, the blackbird at 3.3. The swan ceiling is 52000 feet, the blackbird is 85000 feet with a range of 3000 miles. The swan is a bomber, the blackbird is a reconnaissance aircraft. One is a truck the other is a racer.

The white swan is still the most impressive plane ever made. It makes the blackbird look ridiculous. The Blackbird can carry a man and a camera. The white swan outperforms it in many ways and can carry a whole batch of cruise missiles in a revolver type mechanism to dispense one at a time. I think it flys at Mach 3 but might be misremembering but it is unique in how high and fast and long it can fly.

Hey Lemire, here you are in 2022 nodding along as Joe Scarborough lays out how calling someone a pedophile incites violence against that person. You and the Morning Joe crew just spent the past year insinuating without proof that Trump is a pedophile. You people did it virtually every single day. You smear for a living. I won't even get into the hundreds of other sick, demented things you guys have said about the President that have contributed to the violence against him. You spend every day trying to convince Americans that Trump is evil and a direct threat to their lives and then you have the nerve to write this crap. Putting it in The Atlantic seems about right though.
