In my call with Prime Minister @MarkJCarney of Canada, I expressed my deep alarm over the rise in antisemitic violence in Canada. I called on Prime Minister Carney and his government to address the fear and sense of abandonment felt by our sisters and brothers in the Canadian Jewish community before it’s too late. In our discussion, we agreed that Israel has the right to self-defense. I reiterated that we are acting to protect our people against the threat of terror from Iran and its terror proxies in the region, including Hezbollah in Lebanon. I also underlined the importance of implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2803 in Gaza, including the vital condition that Hamas is disarmed and a new government is established in Gaza.

Most Islamic countries will not accept Trump’s deal on expanding the Abraham Accords without something in return, and we all know what that may be.. Recognition of a Palestinian state. If a Palestinian state is going to be created, they can establish one in or near their own countries.

@CraigHouston_ @Kat_Bee_123 Notice how he repeately talks about their 'cause' & how this has damaged their ' cause' & how heartbreaking that is for him. No thoughts for damage they do to Scottish society as a whole, just their 'own people' & STILL no accountability. They DID fail to investigate concerns

🚨 UK JEWISH LEADER SAYS HE IS LEAVING BRITAIN FOR ISRAEL Jeremy Jacobs, a former head of the UK’s United Synagogue, says he is moving to Israel after losing faith in British society amid rising antisemitism. His family has lived in Britain since the 1850s. Now he says walking around London with a kippah makes him fearful, and he no longer believes most people would defend Jews facing harassment. His words say everything: “When I walk in Israel, even in a war zone, I feel at home.” “In London, where we live, that feeling has gone.” This is what happens when a country allows antisemitism to become normal in its streets, universities, and public spaces. Jews are not imagining it. They are leaving. (TOI)

Tomorrow is the beginning of my last full week living in Scotland. Next Sunday (7 June), I will be making Aliyah, moving to Israel, and becoming an Israeli citizen. For years, I have written and spoken about Jewish peoplehood, indigeneity, exile, and home. Now I get to live it for myself. Not as theory. Not as history. But as my reality. After 2,000 years of exile, it is extraordinary that Jew can come home.

Israel is one of the only Western-style democracies that remains aligned with the values of the United States. Most European countries have betrayed Western values and are being strangled by bureaucrats, radical leftists, and Islamists. Israel is one of our only allies not allowing themselves to be overrun by leftists and Islamists. Yet I don't see anyone throwing a fit about the support of the United States for these gross European countries. Only Israel. This is completely backwards. It is a completely inverted perception of reality. Why? Why do you condemn one of our only allies that shows a willingness and eagerness to still fight against the dark forces that are overrunning civilization almost everywhere else?

So you want Scottish independence from the English I hear…you’re not Jewish by any chance…they sought independence from those meddling sassenachs too…Britain sure cocked up the Mandate of Palestine they were given by the League of Nations after WWI when the Hashemite Arabs helped them defeat the Ottoman Empire who had occupied the region for 400 years and had let it deteriorate into a malarial swamp or desert with a tiny population with largely absentee landlords…they handed 77% of the Mandate of Palestine (the name they gave to the area after WWI as a nod to the Roman renaming of Judah/Israel to “Syria Palaestina” to oppress the Jews after the Bar Kochba revolt against Roman occupation in 135CE) The British Mandate was called Palestine and the French Mandate was called Syria but in 1920 the British handed 77% to the Arabs as Transjordan which literally translates as “across the Jordan” and it was all the lands East of the Jordan River now called Jordan…this was Arab Palestine. Under the Balfour Declaration Britain had promised to restore the Jewish homeland and they intended the remaining 23% (from the River to the Sea) to be Jewish Palestine but the Arabs never accepted that even though none of the land was actually Arab land given their homeland is Arabia. Conflict and further proposals of partition of the remaining 23% went on during the period 1920 to 1948 whist immigration was strong from both Jews, who bought and settled land and transformed desert and malarial swamps into agricultural land and Arabs who flooded in for jobs from the Jews. Up until 1939 the Arabs were the main protagonists against the Jews and British but the British White Paper of 1939 blockaded Jewish immigration at the height of the Nazi persecutions of Jews in Europe and the machinations of the Grand Mufti who aligned himself with the Nazis to bring the holocaust to Palestine…it was then that the Jews rose up through The Irgun and Haganah and started fighting back against the Arabs and British and by 1947 the UN (displacing the former League of Nations) proposed a further partition of that 23% which the Jews accepted but the Arabs rejected once again. The British left the mandate in May 1948 and the same day Israel declared independence but the very next day 5 Arab nations attacked Israel intending to annihilate the Jews and Britain and America blockaded supply of arms to Israel whilst supplying those arms and training to the Arabs and in fact Jordan’s army was British led during the 1948/49 war against Israel. Despite the odds the Israelis prevailed in the war though they lost control of Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem to British trained and led Jordan 🇯🇴 who annexed what they called The West Bank in 1950. King Abdullah I of Jordan grew to admire the Israelis for what they had accomplished with irrigation and hydroelectricity and was assassinated for his softened views by a Palestinian in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. In 1967 Egypt, Jordan and Syria attacked Israel again but in just 6 days the Israelis won a decisive war against them claiming back Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem from Jordan, The Sinai and Gaza from Egypt and The Golan Heights from Syria…they handed back the Sinai under treaty with Egypt and they offered Gaza back to Egypt but Egypt wanted no part of it and in fact built a very well fortified border wall between Egypt and Gaza having experienced difficulties with the newly named Palestinians living there. In 2005 Israel removed all Jewish settlers from Gaza and all Jewish graves and handed over Gaza for self rule to the Gazans leaving their border open but by 2006 Gazans voted in Hamas and the attacks against Israel recommenced forcing Israel to control the border but right up until October 7th 2023 Gazans could still enter Israel for jobs and healthcare and Israel was still providing Gaza with electricity and water… Britain sure did cock up their Mandate of Palestine during those few decades 🤔🤫🤨🤪

We parked a floating airport on Iran’s porch, deleted their Navy/Air Force, killed all their leaders, shut down all imports/exports, took over the global flow of crude oil, negotiated deals with their allies like China, and now we are going to take all the uranium. Anyone claiming the US “lost”, in any capacity, is either a bot or a brainwashed simpleton. Not only did Trump and the US MIL win, it was arguably the most decisive and impressive military victory in human history. The US MIL barely even suffered a scratch at the hands of the Iranians. We even recovered downed pilots deep inside enemy territory, with zero casualties. This operation was so one-sided and precise, people hesitate to even call it a “war” because it has been more like a controlled extermination, by a vastly superior and advanced military force. Anyone saying that we “lost”, is either knowingly or unknowingly spreading Iranian/Democrat propaganda. They aren’t serious people. Their only objective is to smear Trump by any means necessary. Reality is irrelevant to them.

A narrator writes: The SNP won 58 out of 129 Holyrood seats. Which, unless you’re a product of Scotland’s increasingly underperforming school system, is obviously not more ‘than everyone else put together’. It was six fewer seats than the SNP won in 2021. And the SNP’s vote share was roughly 10 percentage points below its share in 2021. So by no acceptable definition did the SNP ‘win by a landslide’.

The religion is Judaism but being a Jew constitutes much more 1. Jewishness as Religion: what Judaism is and how belief fits in Judaism is a distinct, codified religion with theology, ritual law and institutions — conversion into Judaism makes someone a member of that religion, and many Jews practice Judaism in ways recognizable to religious studies and communal authorities (prayer, halakha, observance) which is why sources treat Judaism squarely as a religion. 2. Jewishness as Ethnicity and Peoplehood: ancestry, culture and common history Beyond religious practice, Jews are widely described as an ethnic or cultural group: most modern Jews trace descent to ancient Israelites and share languages, foods, symbols and collective memories (diaspora experience, scripture, holidays) that create an ethnic identity separate from individual belief — Wikipedia and academic surveys call Jews an ethnoreligious group for precisely this interweaving of ancestry and religion. 3. Jewishness as Nation or Nationality: the political element Historically Jews have also been a nation — "Am Yisrael" — and modern Zionism and the State of Israel revived a political-national dimension that leads some Jews to experience Jewishness as nationality or citizenship, even while many Jews around the world are diasporic and not Israeli citizens; the national element therefore exists but is context-dependent. 🤔🤫🤪🤡

Too on point not to share. This is great, but too bad the Orange Felon’s enablers won’t let him see it. This Australian's reply to #Trump's rant about “NATO not being there for America” is perfect. "Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage. You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail. Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates. Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you. And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again. And you're calling Greenland poorly run? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no. 'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years. And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess. So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth." - Tony Locke
