Anyone can be sued by anyone for any reason- legit or bullshit. It’s America. If you run any decent sized business, you will be sued 4 times a year. Going public? Add an extra 10 MILLION to legal costs. Don’t read into any one lawsuit. Innocent until proven guilty.

Courage (19 Y/O daughters) My buddy in America has a daughter the same age as mine. She thinks she’s courageous because, as a Columbia U. Freshman, she’s out screaming for Intifada while wearing a keffiyah. My daughter is in the IDF and is faced with jihadist terrorists that want to slaughter her family because we are Jewish. We are not the same. I admire my daughter’s bravery. I laugh at my friend’s daughter and can’t wait until she stops supporting terrorists and goes back to supporting transgender rights. Before I converted, I only experienced antisemitism at Barnard by students too brainwashed by “decolonial” studies to think straight about Jews and their allies. Now, antisemitism is literally everywhere. I converted after 10/7 knowing it would be an uphill battle. And I’m still here, thank you all for having me 🫡

SHOCKING: Jewish influencer Chef Tova was hired by a brand for an ad campaign. Everything was fine until the brand asked her to remove one word: “Jewish,” claiming it was too political. This is how Jewish identity gets erased in real time: Chef Tova was hired, a contract was signed, the script approved, and the video filmed. The contract allowed three revisions. All three were used. Only then did the brand object to one word: Jewish. The contract was clear: additional changes require payment. The brand refused, arguing that the contract bans political content, and that saying “Jewish” is political. Would they have said the same to a Muslim influencer? Or a Buddhist one? Our religion is not political. Our identity is not a provocation. The issue was never the contract. The issue was Jewish visibility.

Client wanted to sue on principle. I asked how much principle was worth. Long pause. We settled.

@EndresenHeather @Tmac4real1 This right here is the issue. If the deal is designed to give buyer the right to offet (or some other discretion), then a COJ is surrenders too much power. But, from seller's perspective, if it's supposed to be a straight note, it's not an unreasonable ask.

Example: buyer has legitimate dispute with seller, may want to exercise right of offset on the seller’s note (which is what it’s supposed to be there for) and withholds payments. Seller can(and this has happened) just go straight to court and sweep funds from all bank accounts to pay the note in full, immediately with zero notice or process. They can and have even done so without satisfy the bank senior creditor, wiping out their loan as well.

PSA to all business buyers: Do NOT under any circumstances sign a seller's note that contains this language: "Confession of Judgment" Saw it again today in a draft seller's note for one of our Viso clients. 😡 The language is being removed or we're not closing.

"Please advise" is a magical phrase. Two words that instantly transform my problem into someone else's. Nothing gets solved. No questions get answered. But it's off my desk. If you're having a rough day, I highly recommend sending a "please advise" email.

This is a lie of omission. No one objects to this initial part of the definition. The controversial parts that harm the fight against antisemitism are the contemporary examples—which Tishby notably did not include—conflating legitimate criticism of Israel with antisemitism. 1/3

It needs to be said: Aaron Maté functions as a retraumatizing agent for our patients. My colleagues and I at the Israel Healing Initiative treat severe PTSD in survivors of October 7, including those who witnessed brutal rapes followed by execution and who still wrestle with survivor guilt for not being able to help. @aaronjmate's denial, and the denial he encourages in others, adds psychological injury to our patients, intensifies their symptoms, and makes our clinical work more difficult. His father, Gabor Maté, also denied the rapes early in the war and has not publicly corrected that position as evidence accumulated. This reflects a fundamental failure by both father and son to apply trauma principles consistently, reserving them instead for preferred victims.
