Tell me when your boss Obama got approval from Congress for HUNDREDS of missle strikes in Pakistan. And Yemen. And Somalia. And Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya. I agreed with those and I agree with what Trump did. The President has the authority to take decisive action to protect American interests. You have no principles. You’re just a paid propaganda hack.

@tslaming The non-resale agreement we signed was not ambiguous. The owner agreed that Tesla can block this sale and levy a substantial fine if they choose too. Will be interesting.

FLIP DETECTED 🚨 It didn't take long for the flips to start 💀 Tesla enthusiast Justin Roy, who many of you probably saw documenting his new delivery in Facebook groups, has already flipped his Signature Model S Plaid. It's now listed for $260,490. (VIN: 5YJSA1E64TFS00071 for those curious). It’ll be interesting to see if Tesla decides to go after early flippers the way Ford went after John Cena when he flipped his Ford GT. They probably won't, but either way, he definitely walked away with a pretty penny.

@wholemars I am sure he was talking about the model YL. It was probably scheduled to be announced today after the holiday, but when the stock started taking on Thursday, they moved the announcement up

Michael Parenti: “Communism in Eastern Europe, Russia, China, Mongolia, N. Korea, and Cuba brought land reform and human services, a dramatic bettering of the living conditions of hundreds of millions of people on a scale never before or never since witnessed in human history.”
Afshin Rattansi@afshinrattansi

Donald Trump: ‘COMMUNISM is the biggest threat to our nation since our founding, that includes World War 1, World War 2, September 11th, and the Pearl Harbor attack.’ In 40 years Chinese communism lifted 800 million out of poverty, in 40 years American capitalism produced 1 trillionaire. Trump and the oligarch class are frightened by communism because it represents the only ideology that threatens their position of power.

.@elonmusk says that no one can name a person who died from his aid cuts. In fact, I've met the kids who are dying, and I've talked to the families who lost children. In my columns, I've cited many, many names of people who have died because of Musk's aid cuts. A few examples: *Yamah Freeman was a 23-year-old woman who died in childbirth because Musk cut funding for the diesel for ambulances in her part of Liberia. She couldn't get to a hospital and died as people were carrying her there. I talked to her parents and sister in their village. *Gbessey Kiadu, age 1, died of malaria because of his cuts to malaria medication in Liberia. I talked to his mom in her village. *Ibrahim Koroma, an infant, died of AIDS in Sierra Leone after he interrupted HIV supplies. I talked to health workers who cared for him. *Achol Deng was an 8-year-old girl with HIV in South Sudan who died when Musk cut funding for the health care worker who provided her medicines. I talked to the healthcare workers. I could go on and on. In almost every village you go to in South Sudan, Uganda, Liberia, Sierra Leone or other countries I reported in, you find people dying because of aid cuts. I challenge Musk: Come with me on a reporting trip, and we'll talk to these moms and dads, and you'll see the dying children themselves. I think if you see the kids whose lives are at stake, maybe you'll change your mind.
Elon Musk@elonmusk

Exactly. And they cannot cite a single name of someone who died out of the “millions” they falsely claim have died. Not a single name!

@RussLaw37 @MattWalshBlog That's really the only difference here. Those who have dealt with the effects of alcoholism with a loved one have a very different perspective on drinking. I support people's right to drink - 100% - but I wouldn't consider it harmless either.

@MattWalshBlog I'm sure that any study that shows the benefits of a glass of red wine are all bunk right? For me, the son of alcoholic parents, alcohol is not especially smart. A 6-pack might last a year in our home. A bottle of wine for me would last years. But for most it's hardly unsafe.

I’ve come to realize that some people never recovered from the paranoid hypochondria that gripped the nation during Covid. Now they’ve just transferred it to other things. That’s the only way I can explain why so many grown men are suddenly acting so brittle and fragile like a can of beer might kill them. I couldn’t care less whether you drink alcohol or not. Do whatever floats your boat. But the idea that “there’s no safe amount” is just paranoid hysteria. A grown man should be embarrassed to hysterically claim that a glass of wine is “unsafe.” It actually is totally safe, by any reasonable definition of the word. But it seems we are not operating with a reasonable definition.
Aaron Nye@anogy

@MattWalshBlog There is no health benefit. There are only health negatives to its consumption. There is no safe amount. If life is so abysmal that alcohol is necessary, examine your life.

What an incredible red-carpet delivery experience for my Signature Model S! Roberto Perez and Janette Ritchie from the Florida Mall Delivery Center, in perfect coordination with Danny Masih at Tesla John Young, made it absolutely unforgettable. As seen in the attached video, they went above and beyond to create a truly special delivery that matched the significance of this exquisite Signature Model S — the ultimate swan song of Franz’s beautiful design. It was clear the team understood just how special this final masterpiece is, and they delivered an experience worthy of both the vehicle and the occasion. Huge thanks to the whole Tesla team for the honor of owning such an amazing piece of Tesla history! @Tesla @travisraxelrod @TeslaIR @woodhaus2 @elonmusk @ #Tesla #SignatureModelS

@C_3C_3 This is because western names are much more varied, whereas Muhammad is an insanely common name for muslims. If you have 10000 people, and say 100 of them are Muslim, around 70% will be named Muhammad so it’ll be the most common name of that 10000 despite them being a minority

SpaceX and Tesla will announce a merger in weeks - by the end of August. It will be a 1:1 merger with Tesla shareholders getting four shares of the new company for every 1 share they own today. It will be traded under the ticker “X”. Optimus and Roadster were delayed until August to unveil them as high profile examples of the synergy between the two companies.

I got Fable 5 to work in Claude Code CLI. Start a new Terminal window and make sure you've updated CC to the latest version (claude update). Then after launching claude, type '/model fable' and it will add it to your model list. From there you can set your thinking level.

I don't live in LA, but for those who do, I'd encourage a vote for Nithya Raman. She's far better on housing, which is LA's #1 issue, and more braodly Bass does not deserve to be re-elected. We should remind politicians even in deeply partisan areas they can be held to account.

According to the LEO design you would need 3236 LEO satellites to create a functional constellation and then it would expand from there. I posted previously that in the best case scenario, there was no way they could reach that number by 2028 unless new Glen started launching weekly this fall. That was before the setback. Falcon nine doesn’t have available capacity. Starship would require a redesign to be able to launch the LEO form factor. There are no other options if new Glen isn’t operational. It’s a math problem.

I think it's worth discussing how last night's Blue Origin incident could affect Delta's decision to choose Amazon Leo over @Starlink. A couple months ago, Delta announced plans to begin installing Amazon Leo connectivity on 500 aircraft starting in 2028. The key word here is begin, because unless Amazon decides to launch their Leo satellites on SpaceX rockets in the near term while Blue Origin works to return New Glenn to service, a process that could take 12–15 months (maybe longer) based on early reports, its deployment timeline could face significant delays. Amazon currently has about 300 Leo satellites in orbit, compared to @SpaceX's 10,400 Starlink satellites. Those 500 aircraft would cover only about half of Delta's fleet, meaning a full fleet rollout likely wouldn't be completed until 2030 or so (maybe sooner if they launch Leo sats with SpaceX). United Airlines expects Starlink to be installed on roughly 80% of its fleet (about 880 aircraft) by the end of this year, years ahead of Delta's rollout. Southwest Airlines expects approximately 300 aircraft, or 37% of its fleet, to have Starlink by the end of 2026. American Airlines is scheduled to begin Starlink installations in 2027. This means Delta will have a meaningful competitive disadvantage when it comes to high-speed onboard internet, an increasingly important feature for travelers. This begs the question, does Delta accept these likely delays with Amazon Leo (again, unless they pay SpaceX to launch their sats in the meantime), or do they eventually decide they can't afford to wait and switch to Starlink? A couple other factors to consider though: Delta has broader partnerships with Amazon beyond Leo, and Amazon may have offered a killer deal to get Delta to sign with them, one they may not want to give up. It's also possible Amazon dedicates a large share of Leo's early capacity to Delta, making a smaller satellite constellation mostly sufficient for its needs? I need to look more into that last part. So far, 37 airlines (and counting) have announced Starlink adoption. I now some disagree with me on this, but I believe passengers will increasingly factor high-speed internet connectivity into their flight decisions, especially on longer flights. As more airlines adopt Starlink (three out of the four major U.S. airlines have), pressure will continue to mount for the airlines that haven't adopted it. Jet Blue is in a similar situation to Delta....
