Colchester @marksandspencer I asked where the women’s changing room was to try on swimwear. Manager Andrew (he/ his /him) says gender neutral changing areas are “completely safe” for women and girls. For asking him this question, he told me to leave the store. @SexMattersOrg

A young detransitioner, Fox Varian, has won $2 million damages in a medical malpractice lawsuit, in which she sued the psychologist and surgeon who approved her for a double mastectomy, aged 16. Varian's mother testified that she'd been against the surgery, but was pressured into agreeing because she'd been told that unless her daughter transitioned she was likely to commit suicide. As the floodgates open, and more and more detransitioners sue the clinicians who subjected them to an unregulated medical experiment, gender identity activists will almost certainly continue to ignore any evidence that fails to support their preferred narrative. They'll keep insisting that hardly any transitioned people regret their irreversible procedures, that gender clinicians know exactly what they're doing, that surgeries, cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers are of proven benefit and that minors who're denied these treatments will to kill themselves. All of this is a lie. Speaking at the WPATH conference in 2021, British endocrinology consultant Leighton Seal admitted 'we are doing procedures here where we don’t have outcome data.' A woman from Utah said she felt gender clinicians like her were making it up as they went along: 'Because I feel like we’re all just winging it, you know? And which is okay, you’re winging it too. But maybe we can just, like, wing it together.' (thefp.com/p/were-all-jus…) This will go down in history as one of the worst medical scandals of all time. Adults inside and outside the medical profession sold troubled young people like Varian the idea that all of their complex trauma would be resolved by removing healthy body parts. As more and more detransitioners arrive in court, the public will learn the full extent of the harm done to kids in the name of an ideology. Clinicians performing these 'treatments' will go down in history as barbarous activists who betrayed a sacred oath: to do no harm. But we should never forget how many people outside the medical profession urged these young people on, gleefully assuring them that anyone advising caution was an evil bigot. There are people in elitist professions like publishing and academia, not to mention politicians and celebrities with young fan bases, who did all they could to champion the idea of gender identity, and kept pushing it even as the evidence of harm mounted. They're just as culpable as the clinicians. Too lazy to think more deeply than the fashionable mantras that got them social media likes, too arrogant to look at evidence from anyone outside their political bubble, they've slurred whistleblowers and attacked anyone with valid questions. In doing so, they've created a cultural climate without which this appalling tragedy could not have taken place. Never forget, because only by learning the lesson can we stop this happening again. thefp.com/p/a-legal-firs…

@boxmontessori Publishing ‘Spare’ was his fatal mistake. The claim that he personally killed more than 20 Taliban means that he will be forever af risk of a revenge killing and it’s all his own fault. What an idiot!

This man made these violent, specific, graphic threats and nothing ever happened to him. Nothing happened to the man who assaulted KJK in Auckland, or to anyone in the mob that tried to break through her security and beat her to death, or to the man who punched a 70 year old woman in the face so hard that it fractured her orbital bone. Nothing ever happens to these men. They can walk around with signs telling people to commit suicide, or urging the decapitation of women who stand up to them, and nobody bats an eye. The media stays silent. Trans people are a sacred caste, and we poor mortals have no right to criticize them or complain about their behavior, no matter how toxic or how violent they become. Imagine, if you will, the firestorm of hysteria that would sweep the country if a huge group of women showed up to a trans event, with the front ranks carrying a giant banner telling trans people who trespass in women’s spaces to kill themselves, then spent the whole event screaming and yelling and blowing air horns to silence the speakers. Think of the freak outs that would ensue if a prominent elected official were photographed at a TERF protest with a sign behind them that said “Decapitate trans people.” And yet when trans activists do these things, and carry these sorts of banners and signs, it is waved away as excusable because they’re so “oppressed.” Oppressed? Trans people? You mean the people who have multiple holidays throughout the year that celebrate their existence? Who are given special rights to access spaces that others of their sex are banned from? Who get first priority from social services when it comes to housing, disability benefits, and mental health support? Whose elective, unnecessary surgeries and medications are paid for by everyone else, either through taxes or increased insurance premiums? The people who are constantly and consistently treated like a sacred caste who can do no wrong and must be pandered to at every turn? Who are regularly singled out for praise and attention simply because they are transgender? Whose wants are treated as more important than the rights and safety of women and girls? Those trans people? When the whole world has twisted itself around backwards for the sake of your feeeeeelings, and taken away the rights of others so that you can have your own way, and changed the way it uses language in order to strip another group of their identity for the sake of satisfying your demands, the sheer hypocrisy of claiming to be oppressed because the people whose rights you’ve taken - and whom you constantly threaten with violence - have objections to your behavior is more than I can bear in silence.

@angijones @TheJoeySwoll Yes I’ve been saying a nation service but instead of the army in retail or hospitality. It might teach some people some respect for others who serve them.

I have noticed that generally the wealthier/more privileged a person is the less likely they are to thank service staff. Maybe it should be compulsory to serve a year of retail/service work after high school so everyone has a chance to experience dealing with idiots all day for little remuneration. Watch empathy & manners improve.

@RedTory2016 It’s not kind to go along with your child’s delusion David. They need strong boundaries and possibly professional counselling. Males cannot become females, it is impossible to change sex.

@MDymore I think they didn't know in the beginning, but at some point during the megnancy of Archie they found out the truth. How could they not? Especially with Birkenhead. By that point the #TemuRoyals were in too deep. So they saved face. That's just my opinion.

If anyone believes that our Royal Family KNEW that markle's pregnancies were fake, ask yourself, why didn't she: use the Royal's medical team; give birth where other Royal babies were born (St Mary's hospital, Paddington); have her medical team sign the Buckingham Palace announcement. Why didn't her 'mental' issue get detected during a regular pre-natal checks, with her chosen medical team? Plus, children under the age of 18 are no threat to the LoS. When they reach 18 and IF the 'children' still have Royal titles, then the RF can demand a dna test. Or maybe a dna test could be demanded when the harkles divorce, to prove that a Royal has to pay maintenance - but not if they were not born of the body. Plus, medical records are private. Not just for our Royal Family, but for everyone. (Does anyone really believe that markle - a 'black' woman, according to the sussex squad - gave birth to red haired, blue eyed children. Or maybe you believe that she IS 43% Nigerian ???? )

@sappholives83 I soooo want the comedian to be Sara Millican! It's funny how men can relate to the female experience by living with and observing women, but a man who identifies as a woman can't relate. When your mom doesn't agree, give up your delusion.

Glad you asked. When men get called woman they get put in the “female” box, and it costs women everything we ever fought for. We lose fairness in sport, because suddenly a bloke can walk in, take the medals, the records, the scholarships, and everyone’s meant to clap like it’s progress. We lose the safety of our own spaces — refuges, changing rooms, hospital wards, prisons — all turned into mixed-sex free-for-alls just to keep men’s feelings warm. We lose dignity, because apparently women aren’t allowed a single moment of privacy without a male body in the room. We lose accuracy in healthcare, because female biology suddenly has to take a back seat to someone’s identity drama. We lose political representation, because men now tick the “woman” box and take seats meant for women. We lose sex-based crime data, because male violence gets washed clean and relabelled as “female offending.” We lose language — our words, our names for our bodies, our culture — all replaced with creepy pseudo-medical nonsense to avoid hurting men’s egos. We lose the ability to tell the truth about anything: periods, birth, menopause, breastfeeding, lesbianism — everything has to be rewritten to centre men. We lose single-sex education, religious female-only spaces, and community groups, because apparently every boundary women draw is an act of oppression. We lose funding for women’s organisations unless we agree to pretend men are women. And lesbians? We lose our entire orientation if we don’t perform obedience on command. We lose safety from male offenders in prison, because their feelings outrank women’s bones. We lose the right to speak openly about male violence without being branded hateful. We lose job protections, because men now qualify for initiatives built to counter sexism against women. And the biggest loss? We lose the meaning of the word “woman” — the one political category that exists for a reason: because female people are oppressed as female people. If that category goes, our rights go. Our safety goes. Our history goes. Our future goes. All because men demanded access to absolutely everything women have, right down to our name.

@JcScharl I’ve seen the musical years ago it was ok. But the movie drawn out for two is a bit much and I find both actresses a bit weird more so as themselves. And I’m sooo fed up with everything branded with Wicked.
