@katebevan This is how schools now teach kids to write. Copy in the future is going to make eyeballs bleed.
English

This is one of the very worst pieces of writing I've ever seen.

It’s disappointing that the Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has given eight broadcast interviews this morning - including FOUR to BBC programmes - but not found any time to speak to @GBNEWS on issues that our viewers care about, like the small boats crisis.
“Home Secretary Yvette Cooper broadcast round: Good Morning Scotland (7.05 a.m.) … Sky News (7.15 a.m.) … BBC Breakfast (7.30 a.m.) … LBC (7.50 a.m.) … Today (8.10 a.m.) … GMB (8.30 a.m.) … 5Live (8.40 a.m.) … Times Radio (8.50 a.m.)” (@politico’s London Playbook)

@missbarton Beautiful. We are all crying for Dollface, and thank you for sharing her with us.

(Heavy sigh) Worth watching the clip to learn the low ceiling line is clearly a jab at Labour for not having had a female leader, not a jab at Reeves being a female Chancellor.

Kemi Badenoch: "I find it astonishing that Rachel Reeves keeps talking about how she's the first female Chancellor, which is a very, very low-glass ceiling... which she may have smashed." #bbclaurak

@JaneyGodley @UofGlasgow So much love for a wonderful woman. Dr Godley has made a huge impact on so many people. She matters. Huge congratulations and much love to all of you x
English

Thank you @UofGlasgow for bestowing upon my mum the honorary degree of doctor of the University of Glasgow. This has brought her so much joy in the final beats of her life. Janey is so honoured, and I am so immensely proud of her. Congratulations Doctor Godley.

This is super disturbing. We really do live in a post-truth era.
Stephen McDermott@Ste_McDermott
Looks like a random AI slop site based in Illinois, aided by social media, has coaxed hundreds of people on to the main street of Dublin for a Halloween parade that was never happening.
English

@Frasier67Blank @Samfr If you’re 15 & wanting to hang on to an annual childhood tradition, and you have the same beautiful manners you always had, you can fill your boots with mini Mars bars and haribo at mine. Kids grow up too fast, it’s hard being a teen navigating it. Halloween is fun for all ages.
English

@Jacob_Rees_Mogg Trial by social media is the concerning thing. Justice will be dealt publicly but it needs to be fair. Or it isn’t justice at all. We don’t need blow by blow updates. Criminal cases shouldn’t have a live feed.
English

Robert is right to be concerned.

@doublehelix "The child froze" she write likes it's some sort of evidence that it was bad a transwomen used the bathroom. Children freeze at seing disabeld people as well, guess we should not be allowed in the women's toilet.

@IsabelOakeshott @lloyd_dennis8 @Keir_Starmer In the last year someone has been jailed for providing *accommodation* to a Just Stop Oil protestor. The anti-capitalism rioters in 2011 received prison sentences. And 'trying to overwhelm the police so a hotel full of people can be burned down' really isn't a 'thin' offence.
English

@lloyd_dennis8 @Keir_Starmer And you know that never before, in modern times, have people been jailed in this country, for such thin offences. These are political prisoners, no ifs or buts.
English

As a 61-year-old granddad dies in jail, after getting 2 years for being a bit of an idiot/shouting some unpleasant words, it's time to face facts: the UK now has political prisoners. For shame, @Keir_Starmer
English

@fliceverett I tried to read a book ADHD but there was no way I'd ever read something cover to cover about something as uninteresting/unrewarding as my actual self, and decided maybe I DO have ADHD.
English

@PippaCrerar Prince William and his kids also met her after receiving free tickets to the show. This is all very weird.

@Prof_Umbongo Brad Pitt is 60. Boris Johnson is 60. Jeremy Clarkson is 64. These aren't elderly people. 60 isn't elderly.
English

@graceyldn Greg Davies and Reece Shearsmith are both, objectively, good looking. Reece hides it well because his characters are often awful. I entirely endorse your view.
English

@Joeya96 @donororgans @CreativeDeduct @Twangberry @xueyan94600 @premnsikka It means things like trespass and ordinary weather patterns.

@donororgans @CreativeDeduct @Twangberry @xueyan94600 @premnsikka You do know what ‘external network rail’ means right?
