Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez says anyone who insults Islam will be imprisoned: “There is no place among us for those who insult religions...and anyone who insults the Prophet Muhammad or the Islamic religion will face a prison sentence of five years.” Pure insanity.

Opinion: Ireland issues about ~31,000 work permits a year. Industries like farming, healthcare, tech and pharma rely heavily on them. My issue is with the abuse of the system. Being part of the EU means employers have 450million workers to source from. Add in the UK its another 60million people. Work-visas should exist Student visas should exist Asylum rights should exist.... but all with strictly enforced rules, limits & fines. At the moment Ireland is a free for all. We have allowed each of these to get so out of control that now effectively shutting them all down for a period of time is whats needed. Asylum centres should not be permitted working visas for Non-EEA staff..... thats when you know things have gone too far.

ESB workers have arrived at an illegally built mansion in County Meath, following a legal battle spanning more than 20 years. Chris and Rose Murray made five failed attempts to get retention, and they told Amy Molloy of the Irish Independent that they feel they are being 'treated worse than the Kinahans'. They built the home in 2006 without planning permission. Speaking to Claire Byrne this morning, Rose said: "There's a warrant out for myself and my husband's arrest" over the ordeal. Earlier this week, Meath County Council took possession of the property, which was constructed without planning permission. The electricity supply is now set to be disconnected, with demolition crews expected to begin work shortly afterwards. 🎧Watch for more and listen back to the entire interivew on the GoLoud app.

@blaiklockBP The people that allowed this need to be sacked. People’s lives are at stake. If the management making these diversity hires were accountable, you know that ‘mistakes’ like this would not happen.

Every person treated by him should be contacted by NHS and their diagnosis, & treatments checked. @NHSuk @wesstreeting This is outrageous. There are hundreds of these unqualified people i thr NHS. You need to do spot checks. Give staff the opportunity to report what they all know anonymously. The real staff know. They see it every day. Same with useless nurses. Do it or face a huge legal bill for malpractice. And compensation money should come from NHS management pension pot.

A shocking claim from an NHS whistleblower: Nurse: “We have no choice, we’re told to do it, we have to do it.” According to the whistleblower, nurses and doctors are being instructed to prioritize migrants over British citizens, leaving locals to wait weeks or even months for critical healthcare. Questions are mounting about policy, fairness, and accountability in the UK’s healthcare system, should access be equal, or are some getting preferential treatment?

Fine Gael minister Michael Lowry was permitted by An Bord Pleanála to retain a large extension built without prior planning permission. This decision, highlighted in #1997, caused controversy as critics argued it rewarded "flagrant flouting of the law' irishtimes.com/news/lowry-to-….

This is what a 34 week old baby looks like outside the womb. The UK just voted in favor of killing an unborn child at this age. For no reason, just because someone wants to. They call it “reproductive rights” because they refuse to call it what it is: murder.

#FFG The Landlord's Government HOUSING SCANDAL ‘Highest level of evictions since famine’ Govt blast as 20k tenants booted out in ‘out of control’ Irish rental system Sinn Fein housing spokesman Eoin O Broin was among opposition spokespeople calling for a no-fault eviction ban. He said thousands of renters face higher rents or homelessness following a surge in eviction notices. He explained: “Renters are now in an even more vulnerable position than they were before the Government’s controversial rent legislation was passed into law. People Before Profit leader Richard Boyd Barrett said the eviction data shows the housing and homelessness crisis is “still out of control”. He also called for an eviction ban and a dramatic ramp-up of the tenant-in-situ scheme. #Evictions #HousingDisaster thesun.ie/news/16707597/…

A predator who raped and sexually abused two women after rendering them "insensible" with ketamine has been branded a monster and jailed for 18 years. Khamal Hussain targeted two women in separate sinister attacks after luring them to his home. A court heard he had been released under investigation by police for abusing the first victim when he went on to rape the second woman. Newcastle Crown Court heard one of the victims was driven to the brink of suicide and both have been left severely traumatised!
