JCB is a unique #MakeInIndia story. Delighted to visit the @JCBmachines manufacturing plants in Pune and Vadodara. The backhoe loaders, excavators, compactors, wheel loaders manufactured in India by JCB are exported to over 135 countries across the world. The Design Centre in Pune with over 700 engineers is phenomenal. I was particularly impressed with the focus on gender diversity and the vast number of women engineers and ITI trained women welders. @Deepak_Shetty09

If someone ever asked me the first brand my toddler would fall in love with, I would have never guessed this. “JCB” is the first brand he learnt! And now as I am birthday planning, I am realising this brand - where the product has nothing to do with kids - is all over. They are cakes, gift wrap, clothes, bedsheets, bags and toys with this print because little boys are obsessed with them. A strange lesson in branding I learnt from @JCBIndiaLtd and a 2 year old!

Women Led Development in @makeinindia . Women engineers are taking lead in traditionally male dominated job roles, such as manufacturing and welding. JCB facility at Vadodara has huge focus on gender diversity with over 52% of the workforce on the shop floor comprising of women. Women are excelling in AR/VR Technologies, State-of-the-Art Manufacturing through Robotics, and Industry 4.0 Manufacturing at JCB. Women Led Manufacturing has led to export of over 20000 MT of critical fabrications with no rejects. A Gr8 example of world-class manufacturing by women in India. @JCBmachines
