I think eventually Louisiana v Callais could result in 19 seats for the GOP. But probably more like 6 in short term. But think about what happened in FL yesterday. +4 for GOP. The illegal and unconstitutional referendum in VA looks to be backfiring so much that I think we will end up with old map AND VA-7 and VA-10 very much in play for GOP (people on the ground here are PISSED). @RichardArion1 David Betz talks about this in the British context. The rural advantages are even greater in the US than UK. Basically, you can flip off the power and water, and paralyze the urban centers. Without even inflicting mass casualties, the conservatives can force surrender quickly.

I wasn’t kidding when I called this guy retarded.
If you think Democrats can draw a 25-1 map in New York, a 51-1 map in California, a 16-1 map in Illinois, an 11-1 map in New Jersey, and somehow also redraw Washington and Minnesota despite not having political control over the redistricting process in either state while Texas and Florida are somehow maxed out at 30-8 and 22-4 respectively, then you’re even dumber than I previously thought.
This is West Wing tier slop. No different than those fictional TV shows that depict Tennessee going blue in a presidential election.
This might very well be a race to hell, but at the finish line is you guys losing.

There isn’t a single Republican congressional house member in all of New England. (Susan Collins is the only Republican in the senate from any of these states.) Democrats have far more aggressively gerrymandered blue states than Republicans have red states.
