Police work 365 days. Soldiers work 365 days. Employees work 300+ days. Doctors work 365 days. Firefighters work 300+ days. Farmers work 365 days. But judges work only 196 days a year. We have 5.38 crore cases pending. Judges receive a ₹2.8 lakh salary and ₹45K allowance per month.

It will be a crime to say judges work only 196 days. It's a pity that Even the educated ones of this country doesn't know how judiciary works. A High court Judge in Kerala gets around 100 to 150 cases listed in a day. He starts around 9am in morning in his chamber, reads cases which are listed, starts his open court at 10.15am and sits and listens patiently for 3hrs till 1.15pm. by then around 60 cases would have been heard. He goes to his chamber take his lunch and returns back within 45mins. Then he again sits till 4.30pm to finish his list for the day. Then he returns to chamber, dictate orders for all the 150 cases heard today, his team has to verify and approve and then he has to sign the order and he reaches his home by 10.30 pm. This is a daily routine for almost all the judges. What common people see in open court is just a fraction of time being spent by the judge in his work. Don't be an ignorant thankless creature.

@8thCPC_update Govt employes in cities must get 10% extra on basic pay apart from 30% hra as not just house, grocery , electric repair, plumbing etc are costly than tier 2 ending up with very less savings and also on 30% hra ilncome tax is deducted which not at all sufficient for house rent

@manoj_216 You can't just demand like that pvt employees salaries are based on demand and supply you can get 100% hike by switching or 20% hike in company or 0% hike also based on market, govt is not like that it is a standard pay matrix system based on level on employee

DA for central government employees is expected to rise by 3-4% from July, based on the latest inflation data. Here's what I don't understand... Government employees get a mechanism called Dearness Allowance to partially offset inflation. The private sector gets an annual appraisal, if they're lucky. Why shouldn't every salaried Indian get the same protection?
