For the first time in 3 years I had a 4 day stretch where I didn’t get my usual sun exposure I felt absolutely terrible. Then I remembered this was my “normal” before I took the circadian and sun pill Imagine a patient locked inside the hospital for days or weeks…

King's College Hospital in London has opened a rooftop garden for critical care patients. Its first patient, a 29-year-old woman dependent on feeding tubes, said the outdoor space gave her 'a real boost to keep on going

I typed in 'peptides' into X search for ideas on who I should interview for my podcast on the topic and I'm so far 96 tweets deep of only men talking about it. Are there any women who know about peptides? Or is it true this is astrology for men?

Ive seen many people successfully recover from injuries with regenerative peptides like BPC / TB / KPV. My dad had a knee injury, tried PT, acupuncture, offered only temporarily relief. One cycle of BPC decreased pain significantly. He still continued doing PT, but results would not have been the same without bpc.

@jms_tny Creatine brand doesn’t matter and aside from GLP-1s I can’t tell if any other peptides like BPC/TB/Gk/GHRPs do much of anything. Not feeding u tho sorry.

Peptides- I have seen several X posts recently about peptides and have been inundated on other social media with claims of the various benefits of peptides ... so I am intrigued. In a reply post the other day @DelphineLG mentioned Building Protocole. This is apparently a new, physician guided membership platform providing access to medical-grade peptides from trusted U.S. pharmacies. SO, I am even more intrigued ("physician oversight, premium-grade compounds, and clear guidance") ... I was just on their website and joined a 'waitlist'... they said if I share this URL I move up the waitlist ... so here is to sharing! 🫶☺️ theprotocole.com/?referralCode=…

@CoachDanGo Disagree. It’s an incredibly effective tool when paired with good habits. Lifestyle interventions remain the foundation, but when GLPs are used to support behavior change, they don’t have to be lifelong. I’ve worked with many people who’ve tapered off and maintained results.

For most people, taking a GLP-1 is a lifetime subscription. It's the same as someone who changes their diet, exercise, cardio, etc. The tools you use to lose weight are the ones you'll need to keep it off.
AliceMia@Alice_MiaX

I have two women in my neighborhood who went on Ozempic. They lost a ton of weight and felt amazing. One felt so amazing she got a divorce…true story. I saw them both this past week… and the weight’s back. So yeah, turns out Ozempic doesn’t come with a lifetime warranty.

@jflood215 @alc2022 thank you. I’ve seen a lot of social media marketing for peptides and various companies, but definitely hesitant to order anything if I don’t know how pure and where it is coming from. 🙏🏻

Energy flow is the essence of what we are. Even in the absence of any molecular defect, abnormal energy flow can cause disease. It is time to understand health from first principles.
Taylor Kenerson@tkenerson_

The future of medicine won’t be able to ignore energy as a health indicator. This shift will result in energy based solution(s) for healing and we’re on the way to making this less “woo” thanks to people like @MitoPsychoBio. Really enjoyed Martin’s recent conversation with @hubermanlab. They discussed many important topics - one being energy. “Emotion is energy in motion” came up, a phrase I remember hearing when I was much younger. It lands very differently now. We have far more control over where we direct our thoughts, than I was ever taught.. Which has enormous health impacts. Learning about energy has changed my relationship with myself (mind + body), others, and how I show up in each moment. What a time to be alive and building in this space.. Still working through the episode (more thoughts to come)! youtu.be/nMkQUlBtFlk?si…

@Brady_H @Michael_Easter Careful about peptide stance. Most of the guys you will run against this year are already taking peptides. Legally. TRT is another matter. But peptides are rampant in all sports now. It’s “supplements plus”… and they won’t be banned (most anyway)’

Lots of people also talk about having blunted motivation and feeling flat on Retatrutide Why is that? GLP-1 its inhibition is ligand selective, so for example it would attenuate alcohol or cocaine reward/addiction signaling while having no effects per se at normal drug free activity. Baseline GLP-1 receptor activation doenst blunt dopamine it only blunts the supraphysiological spikes. This prevents pathological reinforcement, avoiding the side effect of global anhedonia or emotional blunting. Blunted neurochemical reward in the presence of substances like cocaine, nicotine, or alcohol is due to GLP-1 directly suppressing the magnitude of extracellular dopamine spikes, resulting in diminished efficacy of addictive substances by essentially capping their intensity. GLP-1 also upregulates dopamine transporters (DAT) which enhances surface expression and uptake capacity of DATs. This accelerates the reuptake of dopamine from the synaptic cleft resulting in more precise dopamine signaling via clearing dopamine more rapidly GLP-1 receptor activation accelerates dopamine metabolite turnover within the amygdala, where dopamine excites it otherwise resulting in anxiety, so blunting dopamine here is good. It also maintains the structural integrity of dopamine neurons, via preserving things like TH and VMAT2 meaning neuroprotective benefits, protecting the motor and motivational circuitry against degeneration and maintaining the functional viability of the nigrostriatal pathway. This is exceptionally good in cases like Parkinons where its also exceptionally good for insulin signaling in the brain. Bottom line -> If you have blunted motivation from GLP-1 you were getting your dopamine from the wrong sources.

I can't believe sunlight is free Such a powerful health tool The expensive part is designing life in a way that allows you to access it during critical periods during the day, such as daybreak, UVA rise, skin-color appropriate UVB sessions, and sunset.
