When I think about the Billions of Kenya Shillings that have been allocated to counties since 2013 and the state of the said counties, I get motivated to fight harder. It's looking bad friends. We have to change the status.

Today, we hosted a delegation from the Royal Danish Embassy in Kenya, led by Marie My Larsen, the Team Leader of the Regional Humanitarian Team, to assess the progress of the Transcend Project. The project aims to integrate family health services, focusing on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH), family planning services, and addressing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) for refugees in the Kakuma refugee camp and neighbouring host communities. The visit resulted in stronger partnerships and collaboration with the county and other implementing organisations, and a commitment to work towards a sustainability roadmap that will lead to the absorption of health indicators by @TurkanaCountyKE. #Amref4PHC @denmarkinkenya

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Teachers’ Service Commission, Office of the Narok County Commissioner, County Department of Health, County Department of Water, and other stakeholders, we celebrated the 2nd WASH in Schools (WinS) Festival in Narok County on August 2, 2024, at Lekanka Primary School in Narok West. The event, themed "A Clean and Safe Learning Environment: A Right for Every Child", highlighted our collective commitment to providing every child with a healthy educational environment. This annual festival is an innovative platform that engages and involves schools in a WASH Club competition through performance arts. Students participated in songs, dances, skits, poems, and essays to promote and reinforce sustainable practices in water, sanitation, and hygiene.
