Composer 2 vs Opus 4.6 vs GPT 5.4 - a totally unscientific test > Create a Twitter clone. Use Better Auth, Vite, Sqlite, Drizzle, Typescript, and React with Tanstack Start. Each one took ~5 mins in plan mode. Each had access to a browser to test. Composer: 5 mins $6.04 1,250 LOC Opus: 19 mins $10.43 1,000 LOC GPT: 22 mins $14.15 2,000 LOC Opus seems to use the cache WAY more than composer, so it's not really 10x more expensive. Composer app ran first try. Other two needed a bit of CORS debugging but did work. Code between all was extremely similar All three done inside cursor - so Claude Code / Codex may have been different Models used: Composer 2.0 (regular, not fast) Opus 4.6 Medium Thinking GPT 5.4 Medium Thinking

Wir haben bisher dann immer manuell noch eine Abstellgenehmigung pro Paket gegeben, weil wir nicht wussten, ob das jetzt korrekt hinterlegt ist oder nicht. Könnt ihr da weiterhelfen und uns diese Frage beantworten?

Ich habe auch noch den Namen meiner Freundin hinterlegt als weitere Empfängerin. Da kam auch irgendwann ein Bestätigungsbrief. Aber für Pakete an sie taucht nie diese Statusmeldung auf.

@DHLPaket Hi. Ich habe eine dauerhafte Abstellgenehmigung auf meine Adresse und Namen. Wenn Pakete elektronisch angekündigt werden, steht auch immer direkt drin, dass eine Abstellgenehmigung hinterlegt ist.

@birch_js I'm doing this for .dockerignore as you usually just want a tiny portion in your build context. For .gitignore it doesn't make a lot of sense as you usually want most stuff in Git.

Strangest thing I've ever seen. Just encountered a repo that ignores all files by default and treats gitignore as an opt-in system.

@georgeguimaraes I don't think I ever starred a repo at my previous employer and the green dots just stayed also after loosing access.

Keep one GitHub account for your entire career. Your company's "create a new account" policy is wrong. That account is yours. You can rename it, change the password, add any email. All web forms should have auto save. I just spent 2 hours writing a very detailed comment on a GitHub PR, went to press Cmd + A to select all and copy, but accidentally hit Cmd + Q instead and lost all of my work. Infuriating. 😡

@jake_researcher @devongovett the issue I'm personally having with prompt "engineering" is that it's not predictable. that's not fun, that's frustrating.

@devongovett I think the trick is framing agent collaboration as its own form of building. The architecture of multi-agent systems, prompt engineering, and debugging distributed AI workflows can be just as creative as writing code. It's a different kind of fun, but still building.

Is it just me or does this sound absolutely miserable to anyone else? Why would I want to spend my time writing requirements and reviewing code instead of directly building things? Building stuff is the fun part! How about we replace the boring parts like meetings and emails and status updates and issue triage. Engineers should be making tools to make *our* jobs better, not helping the idea guys replace us with slop.

@FHustede Ich habe dieses Jahr kaum eine Zeile Code geschrieben und war trotzdem so produktiv wie noch nie. Spass macht es auch noch, die Frage ist halt wo das hingeht. Wie gesagt, man muss es selbst erlebt haben und auch ein System und Erfahrung mitbringen es nutzen zu können.

Keiner verliert gerade wirklich wegen KI seinen Job, oder weil KI "so gut" ist, egal ob OpenClawd oder Claude Code oder WHATEVER. Hört doch mal mit diesen Unsinn auf. In 96% der Fälle kann KI keine zufriedenstellenden Ergebnisse im echten Büro- und Arbeitsalltag liefern. LLMs sind technisch begrenzt in ihren Möglichkeiten, das ist alles längst bekannt. Mit LLMs wird weder Antropic noch OAI AGI entwickeln. Das wissen die auch, müssen aber ihren Investoren was anderes sagen, sonst stürzen sie sofort ab. Der ganze Geldsegen hängt aktuell von der Wette ab, dass die Firmen SO viel Geld machen wie der gesamte US-Aktienmarkt in einem Jahr, und das bis 2030. Geht das nicht auf, sind diese ganzen Firmen übel am Arsch. Deswegen wird überall KI reingepresst, egal ob man das will oder nicht. Deswegen rennen Dario und Sam überall hin und erzählen euch seit vier Jahren das Entwickler in 6-12 Monaten überflüssig werden, diese dumme Scheiße, die ich hier IMMER und IMMER wieder lesen muss. Solange Microsoft keine vernünftige Suche implementieren kann, solange Claudes Entwickler 3 Jahre brauchen um einen verdammten Scroll-Bug zu fixen, solange das alles der Fall ist und vor allem SOLANGE DIE SOFTWARE GERADE NICHT BESSER WIRD(!), muss man sich keine Sorgen machen. Fragt euch doch einfach, warum die letzten Windows-Updates so dermaßen scheiße waren, dass jetzt wirklich so einige in meinem Umfeld damit liebäugeln komplett auf Linux zu wechseln. Diese Unternehmen bieten derzeit einfach nur noch schlechte Produkte, teils zu überhöhtesten Preisen an - ja, die werden von KI getroffen, ja, das stimmt. Weil ich keine überteuerte SAAS-Lösung mehr kaufen muss, sondern KI dann für den ca. gleichen Token-Preis das gleiche baut (nur in schlechter) als was ich vorher heimischen Firmen bezahlt habe. Die einzigen Jobs, die dank KI wirklich im Eimer sind, sind die, wofür eh nie jemand für gute Qualität bezahlen wollte. Also Kreativjobs, Synchronsprecher, etc. Nur weil überall durch den finanziellen Druck KI reingepresst wird, heißt das nicht, das KI als Technologie schon so weit ist. Und es gibt bis heute einfach keine Aussicht, dass das Server-hosted Businessmodell mit Tokens von OAI oder Antropic auch nur in IRGENDEINER Weise ein valides Geschäftsmodell darstellen kann, geschweige denn, dass die Firmen die Gelder machen, die sie machen müssten. Warum rennt OAI denn herum und überlegt, Werbung in ihre KI-Software einzubauen? Weil die so richtig in Revenue schwimmen? Nein, weil sie mit VC zugeschmissen werden und das Silicon Valley selbst austrocknet und auch keine Ideen mehr hat. Das ist alles die Kehrseite der Medallie, wenn man keine Unternehmen aufbaut, die von selbst tragen - die werden enorm schnell enorm groß, aber auch enorm schnell sind da mal hunderttausend Arbeitsplätze weg. Die gesamten Auswirkungen trägt aber die Gesellschaft und der Staat - und darf das ganze dann mit Steuergeldern abfangen, woran sich vorher andere eine goldene Nase verdient haben - die natürlich von dem Geld keine gesetzliche Krankenkasse, sondern die fünfte Yacht kaufen.

@FHustede Deswegen denke ich schon, dass Programmiererjobs durchaus in Gefahr sind, einfach weil Qualität hier noch nie gefragt war, sondern Geschwindigkeit. Und das bedienen LLMs sehr gut.

@FHustede Das Problem ist, Software musste schon immer nur geradeso gut genug sein, um trotzdem ordentlich Kohle zu machen. Das sieht man besonders im B2B-Bereich.

I asked my cousin (he’s a software engineer) if his company uses Cursor or Claude. He said none. They code line by line. No AI. I thought he was joking. He wasn’t. He’s heard of these tools but has never even tried them. In 2026, there are still companies writing everything manually? Why??
