I still can’t believe this is an actual sitting Member of Congress. Unbelievable.

I consider myself a movie buff. (Seinfeld - "So Biff wants to be a buff. How do you get to be a buff? Well, sleeping less than 12 hours a day is a good start.") Anyway. I've been watching 70s movies. I just watched "The Stepford Wives". I knew the premise, but never saw the movie. So. The movie is essentially two women, married to very successful men, who provide nice houses and pay all the bills, and the women have too much free time on their hands and are "unhappy" and start stirring up shit with other women in an idyllic suburb. Yes the premise is the "terrible men" turned their wives into robot servant/slaves. And the movie, in typical 70s "dystopian" fashion ends up with not a happy ending..., but the movie takes the premise of the ungrateful busybody women as some kind of championing mechanism. It portrays taking care of the home as not worthy. One of the women keeps a dirty, pig sty house until she's transformed. So an unhealthy environment for her family. And the other has free time to explore a photographic hobby. While her husband works 80 hours a week according to the film. But the film never acknowledges HOW these women have so much free time, nor WHAT they contribute to the family. House lwives run the home. Care for the children, cook, clean, pay bills, get repairs made, shop for groceries. All vital tasks someone has to do for the family. What are they contributing if they don't undertake those tasks while their husbands, whom they freely married, are providing for the family? This movie is supposed to be a shocking portrayal of gender inequality and a feminist nightmare scenario. But it really portrays the folly of feminist ideology.

Walmart said “rollback prices”…she thought it meant take it all… MISSION FAILED AT THE DOOR” What drives someone to risk legal trouble over retail theft…financial need, impulse, thrill, or what? Does punishment need to be more harsh? She really thought she had it planned out. Cart loaded like she’s hosting Thanksgiving for 50 people…easily $1,000 worth of stuff. Calm walk. No panic. Just rolling straight for the exit like she paid in spirit. She clears the last door…fresh air hits… BOOM. Police already standing there like, “Ma’am…let’s go ahead and stop right there.” Now here’s where it gets wild…she actually tries to run. Not a sprint. Not even a jog. More like a determined…power shuffle. She gets about three steps in before it’s over. Apprehended instantly. Officers look at each other like, “…that was it??” And yeah…they start laughing. Cart still sitting there like, “Dang…we were so close.” 😭
