The most inportant thing about this amazing Paris transformation is how fast it has all happened — how fast the people on bikes “appeared” — once streets have been transformed. You can’t write this off as “Paris was always this way,” because it wasn’t. It look leadership.

Just had a call from the police and this driver is being prosecuted. Let this be a warning that if you think it's acceptable to drive like this past people on bicycles they could very well have a camera and you could very well be spending a day in court. Speaking as a driver.

@DestinationBike @CycleRandR @SCCLeader The important thing to note is that the Dutch haven’t always been a #cycling nation. Forty or so years ago their cities were choked with cars too! They made a decision to change we can too!

Ride through of the Reigate Cycle Lane. Excuse the Nag-Dad comments, but listen out for the utter joy from the ten year old experiencing the sanctuary of the segregated area.. @CycleRandR @CycleForumHorsh @ReigateRanger

Scheme was clearly designed to fail. A217 into Reigate from both directions is a HGV traffic rat run to Gatwick, M23 and M25. Does nothing for local high street.

Whilst I commend the fact that Reigate has managed to get it done albeit only temp. The only solution imho is to pave from clock tower and make it pedestrian only. Like Redhill make a peripheral route around Im not planner so would not know how. But I hate Reigate for the traffic

@BramhallNatalie Can it really stay as it is. Pollution, noise and danger, all day every day. Surely reducing car traffic in Reigate can only be positive for all of us

Hearing that following intervention by local Councillors the temporary cycle lane is being removed from Reigate High Street and traffic flow restored to two lanes - need to engage with businesses and local community before implementing such a major change.
