BREAKING: Trump’s new Attorney General demolishes HIS OWN CASE against James Comeny and admits the prosecution over his “86 47” seashell posts is just a partisan witch-hunt to punish Comey in unbelievable interview on Meet the Press!
The Trump administration is really scraping the bottom of the barrel in its efforts to come up with increasingly implausible excuses for which to prosecute Trump’s political enemies, and this latest push to argue that former FBI Director James Comey was “threatening” Trump by posting a picture of the numbers “86 47” written in seashells is a new level of pathetic bullsh*t.
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche admitted as much on Sunday when he was asked if anyone else who wrote the phrase “86 47” – which the entire world knows means “remove from the menu” and not “kill” – would face similar prosecution.
“Well, the image is part of what led to this indictment. is worth noting that on Amazon.com, we looked this up, there are dozens of products with the same terminology. We're showing it right here, 8647 being sold and purchased right now. Should individuals selling or buying 8647 merchandise be concerned that they're going to be prosecuted by the DOD?” asked Kristen Welker.
“I mean, of course not,” said Blanche.
Oh really? If this is a dangerous enough threat to prosecute Comey for, shouldn’t you want to do it to everyone?
“That's posted constantly. That phrase is used constantly. There are constantly men and women who choose to make threatening statements against President Trump. Every one of those statements do not result in indictments, of course.”
“Just to be very clear, you are suggesting the seashells themselves are not at the root of this indictment?” asks an incredulous Welker.
“No, I am suggesting that every single case depends on the investigation that's done. And of course, the seashells are part of that case. I mean, that's what the public sees. But without a doubt, and it should be evident by the fact that it's been 11 months since the posting and the indictment, there is an investigation that takes place. And that's the result. The result of that investigation is the indictment that was returned last week.”
The idea that it took ELEVEN MONTHS for the FBI to investigate a picture of some seashells is beyond laughable. Either Kash Patel’s FBI is so staggeringly incompetent it took nearly a year to look into a single social media post or, more likely, they’re just flagrantly making up fake crimes to try and punish one of Trump’s political enemies.
It’s hard to see how any judge that isn’t in Trump’s pocket could take this case seriously now that Blanche has made these statements.
But that’s just the kind of stunning incompetence you can expect from a Trump official.
Nice going, bozo!
