A jury has awarded Fox Varian a total of $2 million after it found her psychologist and surgeon liable for medical malpractice related to a mastectomy at age 16.

Not only did he give us a platform to share our stories, he fostered dialogue with those of differing opinions—which is crucial for meaningful change and a healthy democracy.

Detrans Help is deeply saddened by the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Our thoughts are with his family during this painful time. Charlie Kirk supported detransitioners when many had cast us aside.

There’s a gay man, in his twenties, online whose videos I’ve seen for a couple of years. He’s a total stranger to me but he’s been funny, and sweet, and he’s also been “transitioning”. So that always made me sad, knowing the medical harms he was embracing. Today, I saw that he’s detransitioning. He sounds confused about a lot of things (which makes sense) and he’s still a bit caught up in the gender cult speak… But it’s just such a positive sign. This is potentially the start of him living a healthier life. I really hope so. We urgently need resources for those who suddenly wake up to the idea this is the wrong pathway. We need mental health resources, trauma resources, and proper care for all the physical consequences of prior medical interventions. It’s not OK that someone realises they aren’t “trans” and then they’re so often cut adrift from community and all practical support because of it. I don’t know his specific situation in that regard; I just know how vulnerable it must be to suddenly figure things out. I could see some of that vulnerability in his face as he talked about it. There just aren’t enough resources out there. And other detransitioners are the only ones offering real help in some cases which is a huge burden on them. However willingly they embrace that task
