It's frustrating that two different judges have enjoined the Virginia AWB as unconstitutional, but gun stores aren't selling until there is absolute clarity through a more expansive injunction. (Understandably)
Meanwhile Jay Jones and his goons happily insist they will enforce the law even without an appellate court having overturned the injunctions yet.
This is backwards. They should be scared to violate the constitution, and the gun dealers shouldn't be the ones bullied into inaction.
Instead elected officials gleefully break their oaths. Totally shameful.
California responds to the DOJ's lawsuit against the state's Glock ban by arguing that the most popular handgun brand in the country is not an "arm" under the Second Amendment, and even if it was, they can be banned because they're "dangerous and unusual": storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…

8 to 10 million gallons of raw sewage is pouring into the Merrimack River in Massachusetts every single day since Friday.
The beaches are closed. No swimming. No fishing. No boating. No 4th of July celebrations.
Maura Healey was more focused on giving illegals housing than making sure the sewage infrastructure was up to par.
Democrats destroy everything they touch.
I know how unlikely a per curiam is in a hardware case. I have no illusions. We are probably getting a GVR at best.
But I implore the Supreme Court to understand the glory of the meltdown that would ensue from antigunners if they made such a move. It's such a golden opportunity, and on the eve of America's 250th birthday too.
Make the modern redcoats cry, please.
Dear reporters:
When taking comments from antigun orgs and personalities, you should really ask them the following two questions:
1. You predicted widespread crime and violence increases after Bruen. Four years later, homicide is at record lows despite millions more exercising the right to carry. Why were you wrong, and why should we take your predictions seriously this time?
2. You likewise predict Wolford will lead to crime and violence, even though no such law has ever been in effect anywhere. What evidence do you have that people with CCW permits commit lots of crime? Didn't Hawaii and California both concede this argument when faced with statistical evidence in the district courts?
Also, feel free to reach out to me if you need their nonsense rebutted.
@AAGDhillon@CAgovernor@AGRobBonta When is the Rhode Island Attorney General recieving their letter for our Assault Weapon Ban that goes into effect on July 1st?
I can almost assure you next session they will introduce this same “Glock Ban”
Tick tock! On July 1, CA plans to impose an unconstitutional “Glock Ban.”
Today, I notified @CAGovernor & @AGRobBonta to drop the unconstitutional restrictions on law-abiding citizens’ rights to purchase legal firearms before the ban goes into effect, or we will sue. Stay tuned!
The California bill to require four hours of training for a firearm safety certificate passed the Senate with a 28-9 vote. It now goes to the Assembly: leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billNavC…

NEW audio from the judge who released Cambridge gunman Tyler Brown
🚨 This audio is INSANE. The judge says she has been advised by experienced officers how dangerous he is but she’s ignoring them
In 2020, Tyler Brown fired on police officers and only got 5 years. He has a 20 year criminal record
Judge audio “I do realize I'm kind of taking a chance on you. — when people stand up, police, experienced police officers, experienced probation officers, and they tell me this guy is a danger to the community”
She acknowledged the risk but only sentenced him to 5 year despite prosecutors requesting 10–12 years and strong opposition from both police and probation
- 20+ year criminal history: Includes violence against police and civilians, firearms offenses, drugs, assault with a dangerous weapon
- He committed a stabbing in 2014
- Armed robbery in Michigan
- He was on probation at the time of the 2020 shooting.
- Released on parole in March 2025, about a year before the recent Cambridge incident
Cambridge gunman ID'd: Tyler Brown
In 2020, he fired upon police officers, but Judge Janet Sanders gave him 5 years of prison. FIVE!
He has a 20-year criminal record.
Seeing a lot of "why hasn't DOJ sued my state which has an AWB/mag ban!?".
Because it would probably be pointless as there is already controlling caselaw in that circuit. There's two reasons a lawsuit of that kind makes sense:
1. There is no controlling AWB precedent in that circuit, or no case way ahead of it on the same issue that awaits a ruling. The Denver lawsuit falls into this category, as the 10th Circuit has yet to definitively rule on the issue post-Bruen.
2. There is controlling precedent, but no case is pending at SCOTUS right now from that circuit. Virginia in the 4th Circuit would fit this category. After Snope was denied last year, there is no 4th Circuit case waiting on a cert decision that I am aware of, so DOJ could quickly lose its way up to SCOTUS without getting stayed to await some other case.
If DOJ filed a lawsuit against, e.g., the Washington State assault weapons ban, it would get immediately stayed pending Miller (which is awaiting a ruling in the Ninth Circuit) or pending a cert decision in Duncan.
It would be pointless.
Hope that helps.
