The reality is, this DOJ is exceeding all expectations on the Second Amendment and is by far the best on the issue we've ever had.
To be upset about their work, you'd pretty much have to expect they just won't defend federal gun laws we don't like, which was never in the cards.
They are otherwise going right up to that line and suing states and cities that go further than federal law. Which is appropriate, considering this is a right recognized by the federal constitution. It's absurd that the Second Amendment is far more limited in DC or California than it is in Arizona or Florida.

In its amended complaint against Washington DC's "assault weapon" ban, the US DOJ has now added a claim that the District's total ban on suppressors is also unconstitutional.

@GunWashington @hannahhill_sc @MorosKostas I love how SCOTUS takes cases that pertain to 1 person, like the guy in prison who didn't want his hair cut, but won't take cases that affects every single American and their right to self-defense which could cost them their life.

@CamEdwards @RobProvince Generally, in every state, if you provoke the confrontation, you don't get to later claim self defense. The First Aggressor standard exists in some form in all 50 states.

@RobProvince The Tennessee Supreme Court has noted that case law in the state "generally holds that self-defense is not available to a defendant who provoked or consented to the danger."

Antagonizing someone into attacking might still be covered under stand your ground self defense but I sure wouldn’t want to rely on a jury to decide that.

The ongoing lack of a pardon for Adamiak is enraging. He should get a pardon, an apology, and a pile of money for what amounts to a political persecution initiated by the Biden-era ATF.
But it has still continued under the Trump Admin too, and it needs to stop now.
