@SimonCalder Just got back from ibiza (easy due to being quiet). What i dont get - the egates on departure are at the gate, then 10ft away at boarding you show your passport again. Why not just have 1 egate at the boarding desk so its all done together?

Greece drops biometric demand for UK tourists. But Brussels insists the entry-exit system “is working very well in the overwhelming majority of member states”. Suspending checks for a few hours is acceptable; scrapping the measures all summer long is not. independent.co.uk/travel/news-an…

@benonwine Most dog owners who use restaurants, cafes etc have very well behaved dogs. They are a lot less disruptive than kids. I am a labradoodle owner and am allergic to some dog hair but never had a reaction in a public place (you have to be quite close)

WOW The BBC is now suggesting the UK needs fewer dogs. That’s… quite something. 😮😳🫢 Dogs are part of everyday life for millions of people in the UK and we are a dog loving people. My MESSAGE to the BBC, F***K OFF! What’s yours?

🚨 BENEFITS CHEAT MUM, 33, CLAIMS £23K FOR BEING HOUSEBOUND WITH ANXIETY – THEN JETTED TO CANCUN FOR CLUBBING, ZIPLINING & SURFING! Catherine Wieland from East Sussex raked in £23,662 PIP over two years, swearing she couldn’t cook, wash or leave the house alone due to crippling anxiety, PTSD and dyslexia. Reality? She was spotted at Thorpe Park THREE times, Chessington, Brighton Pride, quad-biking, cave-exploring, 76 beauty appointments and 60 pub/club nights – plus a luxury Mexico holiday with her son! DWP surveillance and her own social media posts nailed her. Hove Crown Court heard she even bagged a Motability BMW. Judge slammed: “Pure and simple fraud… aggravated by pubbing, clubbing and Cancun.” 28-week suspended sentence + full £23k repayment ordered. Classic!

Return your unwanted Reform UK flyers to this address and it costs them £2.50 a pop. Pop this address on an envelope with the flyer in, and pop it in a post box! The more we return, the less they will send!

@MartinSLewis I trained as a credit controller in the 90's (construction industry) I have always lived by not paying for anything until its due and don't be afraid to ask for a refund if goods/service not worthy.

I was just reading about the cases of invasive invasive meningococcal disease in Kent. I noticed this early symptoms list and thought it may be worth sharing... "The onset of illness is often sudden and early diagnosis and treatment with antibiotics are vital. Early symptoms, which may not always be present, include: - a rash that does not fade when pressed with a glass - sudden onset of high fever - severe and worsening headache - stiff neck - vomiting and diarrhoea - joint and muscle pain - dislike of bright lights - very cold hands and feet - seizures - confusion/delirium - extreme sleepiness/difficulty waking This came from this page where there is more... gov.uk/government/new…

Did you see the shocking finale to Dirty Business? Govt must act, NOW! And can I just say, a huge round of applause to all of the decent people working within the water industry and regulators, trying to do their job, to make things better, to put things right and all the while being hampered by politics, corporate greed and incompetence. 👏👏👏 theguardian.com/dirty-business…

I’m puzzled. Labourites tell us that Angela Rayner was only trying to look after her child which they quite rightly say is understandable. But when a farmer tries to look after his children, they say he’s a tax dodger.
