@Pammywaggy @SimonCalder Nightmare! This will put some people off travelling. There is an EES pre registration app but at the moment it’s only valid for Portugal and Sweden. You upload your info 72hrs beforehand. I’m in Portugal in May, so will give it a go and see if it helps

@Diane_runner @SimonCalder Leaving Lanzarote passports were checked 5 times at different stages even though we went through EES machines and they were manually stamped at the gate!Slowed everyone down as only 1 queue for everyone and of course lots of people hadn’t used the EES machines so were sent back!

@Diane_runner @SimonCalder I had the same at Alicante last month after having my prints taken in Krakow in January. They done a manual check and let me through. Leaving I went to the print machine but it said I had done them already. 🫣

@Pammywaggy @SimonCalder No one was being sent to the e gates that day. It was so frustrating. This was back in February

@Diane_runner @SimonCalder The queue in Lanzarote for the manual check grew and grew as people were sent to join after machines wouldn’t accept them. It was a slower process than the e gates as families with children were also in the manual queue. We were scanned ok and through quite quickly.,
