@sharrond62 In fairness, this is not a men sorting themselves out thing. There are just far too many men and women who do not stand up and be counted. Especially the entitled former pros like Megan Rapino etc. Hats off to you, thank you for taking a stand.

When unfairness in sport effects men (carbon shoes, sharkskin swim suits) it gets sorted in weeks, so far in women’s sport it’s been over 10 years since males self ID’ing & 26 years since males with a DSD weren’t stopped, by a single once in a lifetime sex screening cheek swab

If the average man does these for 6 months straight: 1) Quit porn 2) Hit the gym 4x a week 3) Get 7-8 hours of sleep a night 4) Eat a high protein nutrient dense diet 5) Worked on a goal worthy of his attention ...He'd be unrecognizable to his friends & family.

I'm interviewing a progressive activist and Democratic campaigner for my podcast soon. It's rare for lefties to reach out to appear on my show, so I respect that. What questions should I ask?

I only just learned that when Brits say “pants” they don’t actually mean pants. They mean underwear. Why they don’t specify the “under” part, we will never know. But they invented the language so we have to bite our tongue. Every American transplant to the UK has a funny or embarrassing story of when and how they learned of this

I wish I had Peter Mandelson’s confidence. Imagjne hanging out with Epstein, leaking confidential information to him & having photos taken in your pants on his island… Then thinking to yourself “Right, time to get back into politics”

@SteveSayersOne @ZiaYusufUK Assume you mean let the Chagos surrender die, which it seems like it is as the Government has pulled the bill from the Lords.

Guardian disagrees - “The UK Labour government finalized the Chagos Islands sovereignty transfer to Mauritius in October 2024, securing a 99-year lease on Diego Garcia for the vital joint UK-US military base (official cost: £3.4bn). The deal stemmed partly from US pressure under the prior administration, fearing an adverse International Court of Justice ruling could jeopardize the base. Early lobbying by Labour (via then-Ambassador Peter Mandelson) appeared successful: in May 2025, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio publicly endorsed it after "a lot of talk, explaining and persuading," stating it ensured "long-term, stable, and effective operation" of the facility. Despite this, British conservatives persisted in opposition. A September 2025 letter from figures including Iain Duncan Smith, Kate Hoey, David Starkey, and Nile Gardiner warned Trump's circle of risks from China/Russia exploiting the arrangement. These efforts gained little traction for months. The decisive turning point came on Monday evening, 20 January 2026. Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch met US House Speaker Mike Johnson in Washington and directly pressed him on the Chagos deal (alongside North Sea oil). According to Tory sources quoted in the article, Badenoch explicitly argued that — despite the US having welcomed the agreement — it was actually weakening British and American interests. This brief encounter is explicitly credited in the headline and opening as the spark: "How Badenoch’s meeting with Mike Johnson led to Trump’s Chagos deal rant" and "The brief encounter set off a chain of events including a call from Johnson to Donald Trump, a social media blast from the US president against the Chagos deal..." - That same evening, Johnson spoke to Donald Trump (British officials believe he raised Chagos). - Hours later, Trump posted on Truth Social: “The UK giving away extremely important land is an act of GREAT STUPIDITY, and is another in a very long line of National Security reasons why Greenland has to be acquired.” - The post linked Chagos criticism to Trump's renewed Greenland ambitions and tariff threats against allies like Denmark. This sudden shift prompted Prime Minister Keir Starmer's unusually sharp Commons response on 21 January, accusing Trump of weaponizing Chagos rhetoric to pressure Britain over Greenland: "He deployed those words for the express purpose of putting pressure on me and Britain... I will not yield." Downing Street called it a "significant, national moment," marking a more combative UK stance toward Trump. The article contrasts this with Nigel Farage's parallel but secondary efforts (e.g., repeating similar points on GB News that evening), while framing Badenoch's targeted, high-level intervention with the Speaker as the key trigger amid the Greenland timing. Domestic politics played a role too — Starmer sought to portray Badenoch as overly deferential to Trump — but the core chain of causation runs: Badenoch → Johnson → Trump post → Starmer's rebuff.”

Urgent: how to help save a young protester’s life. I cannot believe how many years we’ve had to recycle this dystopian practice. God, when will it end? #ErfanSoltani

@TitaniaMcGrath Labeling people fighting for basic human rights as having "internalized Islamophobia" is the most pathetic display of privilege I've ever seen. You’re literally siding with an oppressive regime just to score points in your imaginary culture war. Disgraceful.
