My wife and I have been on a flight with our son (under 1) about 6 times now. He’s done so well, except for the last flight we took. Poor guy spent a good amount of time fussing/crying…
Believe me, no matter how inconvenienced and annoyed you feel as a passenger, it’s 1000x worse being the parent trying to console your child.
My advice: Just put your noise-cancelling headphones in, watch a movie & get over yourself.
If you ever have a child, and you go through the process of trying to console and/or put your child to sleep on a flight, you’ll understand how selfish and idiotic this statement sounds, @LauraLoomer.

Is there anything worse than a crying baby on a plane? I wish parents would control their children. It’s so disruptive. I refuse to believe a baby cries for 10 hours. At some point this is just bad parenting, right?

There are kids and babies on planes. Many of them cry in some point on flight. Psssangers who cannot handle it should plug ears, take private jets… or don’t fly.
When my daughter was 18 months, we flew from Rome to JFK. 9 hrs / she cried entire flight. Nothin I could do. Until we landed - she fall asleep. True story.
