Vous savez, depuis le début je fais partie de ceux qui disent que @CFrechette est la continuité de @francoislegault. Même insignifiance… même néant… La clause dérogatoire, dans la liste des priorités objectives, est tout au bas, surtout quand on considère qu’elle est due pour être renouvelée seulement l’an prochain… De l’électoralisme pur et simple qui va changer quoi, CONCRÈTEMENT, dans la vie des Québécois?!?! اسلام آباد میں شادی ہالز کو رات 10 بجے بند کرنے کا حکم اب صرف ایک انتظامی فیصلہ نہیں رہا بلکہ یہ عام شہری کی خوشیوں، روایات اور مذہبی تقاضوں سے ٹکرا رہا ہے۔ گزشتہ رات E-11 میں نے اپنے ایک دوست کی بیٹی کی شادی میں جو منظر دیکھا ، وہ انتہائی افسوسناک تھا-9:45 پر لائٹس بند، دلہن اپنے بھاری جوڑے میں باہر کھڑی، دلہا اور دونوں خاندان پریشانی میں مبتلا، اور بچی اور اس کے والدین کے آنکھوں میں آنسو تھے اور مہمان جو دور دراز سے آئے تھے وہ کھانا کھائے بغیر واپس جانے پر مجبور ہو گئے۔ یہ وہ لمحہ ہوتا ہے جس کے لیے ایک بیٹی برسوں خواب دیکھتی ہے، ماں باپ اپنی جمع پونجی لگا دیتے ہیں، اور دلہا اپنی نئی زندگی کا آغاز کرنے آتا ہے۔ مگر یہاں خوشیوں کے اس لمحے پر جیسے پابندی لگا دی گئی ہو۔ سب سے اہم پہلو یہ ہے کہ شادیوں میں صرف کھانا نہیں ہوتا۔لوگ نمازِ عشاء کے لیے جاتے ہیں، مساجد میں نماز ادا کرتے ہیں جس میں وقت لگتا ہے، آج کل گرمیاں ہیں 9 بجے تک تو نماز کے اوقات ہوتے ہیں ،اور اکثر نکاح بھی اسی تقریب میں ہوتا ہے۔ کیا نکاح جیسے مقدس عمل کو بھی گھڑی کی سوئیوں کے ساتھ دوڑایا جائے گا؟ ایک بات #Government کہ ون ڈش پالیسی پر عمل درآمد ایک مثبت قدم ہے اور انتظامیہ کی اس حوالے سے کارروائیاں قابلِ تحسین ہیں سادگی کو فروغ دینا وقت کی ضرورت ہے۔ مگر اس کے برعکس شادی ہالز کے اوقات کار میں اس قدر سختی ایک الگ مسئلہ بن چکی ہے، جس کا براہِ راست اثر عوام کی بنیادی خوشیوں پر پڑ رہا ہے۔ انتظامیہ کی کارکردگی کا اندازہ اس بات سے لگائیں کہ رات 10:10 پر متعلقہ اے سی کا عملہ چیکنگ کے لیے پہنچ گیا، تصاویر بنائی گئیں، اور متعلقہ پولیس @ICT_Police بھی موقع پر آ گیا کہ آیا مارکی بند ہوئی یا نہیں۔ ایک طرف شادی والے اپنی خوشیوں کے چند لمحات سمیٹنے کی کوشش کر رہے تھے، اور دوسری طرف سرکاری ٹیمیں اس بات کی نگرانی میں مصروف تھیں کہ کہیں کوئی لمحہ “وقت سے آگے” نہ نکل جائے۔ سوال یہ ہے کہ کیا پولیس اور انتظامیہ کے پاس اس کے علاوہ کوئی اور اہم ذمہ داریاں نہیں رہ گئیں؟ لمحہ فکریہ ہے کہ قانون کی یہ سختی صرف عام شہری کے لیے ہے۔ اگر یہی تقریب کسی بااثر شخصیت یا افسر شاہی کے گھر ہوتی، تو کیا یہی وقت کی پابندی وہاں بھی اسی شدت سے نافذ ہوتی؟ یا پھر وہاں قانون خاموشی سے آنکھیں بند کر لیتا؟ عوام اس فرق کو بخوبی سمجھتے ہیں، اسی لیے بے چینی بڑھ رہی ہے۔ اس شادی میں موجودہ گورنمنٹ کے سیاسی لوگ اور بہت بڑی تعداد میں ان کے ووٹر سپورٹر بھی موجود تھے جو بہت ناراضگی کاازار کرتے ہوئے اپنی گورنمنٹ کی پالیسوں سے کرتے ہوئے بھوکی حالت میں گئے ۔ وزیراعظم شہباز شریف @CMShehbaz ، وزیر داخلہ @MohsinnaqviC42 چیف کمشنر اسلام آباد @SohailAshrafGor اور ڈپٹی کمشنر Irfan Nawaz Memon @dcislamabad سے اپیل ہے کہ اس فیصلے پر فوری نظرِ ثانی کی جائے اور کم از کم شادی ہالز کے اوقات کو رات 11:30 بجے تک بڑھایا جائے تاکہ نماز، نکاح اور دیگر رسومات سکون سے ادا ہو سکیں اور کسی دلہن، دلہا یا ان کے خاندان کو اپنی زندگی کے سب سے اہم دن پر اس طرح کی اذیت کا سامنا نہ کرنا پڑے۔ @GovtofPakistan @MaryamNSharif @PakPMO @MOIofficialGoP #Islamabad #MarriageHalls #Governance #Pakisan

Sur le plan budgétaire, la logique est imparable : ces collectes mobiles coûtaient six fois plus cher par tonne que les écocentres permanents (2,332$ contre 409$). Dans un contexte financier serré, concentrer les ressources sur les 7 écocentres et les 450 points de dépôt existants peut sembler défendable. Cependant, cette décision a été prise de façon précipitée et sans véritable plan de transition. Aucun renforcement significatif du réseau de proximité n’a été annoncé, aucune campagne d’information digne de ce nom n’est prévue. Sans ces mesures essentielles, de nombreux résidents, surtout ceux sans voiture, les aînés et les habitants des quartiers mal desservis, risquent tout simplement de jeter peintures, huiles, piles et aérosols dans les poubelles ordinaires ou sur la voie publique. Dans une ville déjà aux prises avec de graves problèmes de propreté, ce scénario n’est pas hypothétique. Plusieurs maires d’arrondissement l’ont dénoncé publiquement. Les coûts futurs de dépollution risquent fort d’effacer les économies réalisées aujourd’hui. Pour que cette réforme ne se transforme pas en erreur écologique, trois conditions minimales s’imposent : - Une communication claire et massive ; - Des horaires d’écocentres élargis ; - Un suivi rigoureux des dépôts sauvages. Faute de quoi, une décision comptable deviendra une faute écologique dont Montréal paiera longtemps la facture.

To my X followers, I’ve worked with the media for nearly 25 years. For most of that time, the relationship was professional and balanced. But in recent years, something has shifted. I am increasingly concerned about the state of our democracy — particularly how media, in general, are informing Canadians about food policy, food inflation, and economic policy. I now find myself learning more about Canada’s economy and policy changes from American outlets than from Canadian ones. Much of our national coverage feels reactive, shallow, or overly fixated on partisan narratives rather than substantive policy analysis. What troubles me most is the lack of scrutiny applied evenly across governments and institutions. For example, when the Bank of Canada suggested that Ottawa’s counter-tariffs contributed to food inflation, only one major outlet — Bloomberg — gave it meaningful coverage. The grocery benefit program received very little examination regarding how it would be financed. It took days before anyone pressed for clarity. During the latest spike in food inflation, several outlets turned to the same small circle of commentators who dismissed any potential role of federal policy — carbon pricing, GST holidays, counter-tariffs — despite mounting evidence that policy decisions can and do affect food prices. Instead of investigating structural drivers of inflation, much of the coverage focuses on fact-checking opposition rhetoric, even though the opposition has not governed since 2015. Scrutiny should be applied equally — not selectively. Quebec media, while imperfect, appear to have maintained a broader range of debate. In much of the rest of Canada, I see increasing concentration of voices — often from the same region, Ontario, often reflecting similar policy perspectives — and less diversity of thought grounded in empirical research. This isn’t about partisan politics. It’s about accountability, transparency, and healthy democratic discourse. Media are under financial pressure — that’s real. But public trust depends on independence and depth. Subsidy structures, incentives, and newsroom economics all matter. Canada deserves stronger policy journalism — especially on food affordability, supply chains, and economic resilience. We need more data-driven analysis, more intellectual diversity, and more courage to ask uncomfortable questions — regardless of which party is in power. Until that happens, Canadians would be wise to diversify their news sources and think critically about what they’re being told — and what they’re not.

Just found out that on 9/11, when the United States shut its airspace, 38 planes got diverted to a tiny town in Atlantic Canada called Gander, Newfoundland. The town’s population at the time was around 10,000 people. Overnight, 6,700 strangers arrived. The population nearly doubled in a few hours. Apparently the town just opened up. Schools, churches, and community halls were turned into sleeping areas. Bus drivers who had been on strike came off the picket lines to shuttle passengers. Pharmacies filled prescriptions for free. The ice rink at the community centre became a giant fridge because there was so much donated food. People invited strangers into their homes for showers, meals, and a bed. The passengers were only there for four days. Twenty-five years later, many of them are still in touch with their Newfoundland hosts. One flight raised money for a scholarship fund for kids in Gander. It started at 15,000 US dollars and has since paid out over a million dollars to local students. A musical was made about it called Come From Away. It ran on Broadway for five years. When a reporter asked one of the Newfoundland women why they did it, she said, “You don’t turn your back on people in need.”

🔴 I was born 37 years ago in Pakistan. It was the land where I opened my eyes, where I grew up, struggled, worked hard, and built my entire life. I lived there peacefully, with dignity and honesty, without ever committing any crime. Like any responsible citizen, I raised my voice against injustice, corruption, and wrongdoing through social media, always standing with the common people and speaking for their rights. I lived my life through hard work alone. I never depended on government support or assistance from anyone. Everything I achieved was the result of my own efforts and sacrifices. I supported my family with pride and responsibility. However, the way my family was first forced to leave Pakistan, and later the way I myself was deported to Afghanistan, was deeply painful and heartbreaking. Leaving behind a country where I spent my entire life was not just difficult it was one of the hardest decisions I have ever faced. My birth, my memories, my struggles, and my dreams were all connected to Pakistan. I never imagined that one day I would have to leave it like this. I had already shared earlier how my family was treated and how they were compelled to leave with great difficulty and emotional pain. What happened to me personally during my final month in Pakistan, and the way I was ultimately forced to leave, is something I am choosing not to share right now out of respect for the dignity of the people of Pakistan. Today, I have arrived in Afghanistan empty-handed, leaving behind the results of my lifetime of hard work. I believe it was my basic right to at least close my affairs properly or bring with me what I had earned through years of effort. Starting a completely new life from nothing is extremely difficult, especially when you have a family, children, no home, no business, and no stable source of income. Still, I place my trust in Allah. He is the Best Provider and the Most Merciful. I have left Pakistan, and I now leave my future in this new country in the hands of Allah as well. He knows what is in our hearts and what we have endured. My only humble request to the Government of Pakistan is this: please allow me the opportunity to return briefly or provide the necessary permission so that I can close my remaining matters and settle what I left behind through my hard work. This is not a demand it is a basic human request from someone who spent his entire life contributing honestly and peacefully. Pakistan will always remain in my heart. 🤍 I pray that justice, compassion, and humanity guide all decisions. And I pray that Allah opens new doors for my family and me in this difficult time. 🤲

Qu’est-ce que Christine Fréchette attend pour donner du répit aux Québécois? Qu’est-ce qu’elle attend pour abolir la taxe carbone de 12-13 cents/litre et suspendre, en tout ou en partie, la taxe provinciale de 18,2 cents/litre? C’est bien les beaux sourires, les beaux discours. Ça prend des actions concrètes maintenant!
