If the Greens are to stand down in Makerfield, the least they should demand in return is that the Labour Party:
End the block on coalitions with the Greens in local government.
Stop publicly calling Green candidates antisemitic and respect the party's disciplinary system.

@JoeLever89 the process of replacing labour with the greens was always going to involve an uncomfortable period when the two are going toe to toe and it helps the nominal right wing parties attain power. the solution is to replace labour fast, not give them a free run at elections.
