I think I found three off-by-one bugs in the game I am investigating, and that’s super exciting. Because code. Finding bugs and fixing them is more fun than writing code and making them. There. I said it.

@Derek_Rumpler Maybe? I've kept copying the same thumbnail image file and then modifying it for the thumbnail (keep the fonts in the same place and all that). I have done that for a few years now. Maybe I will start from scratch for the next one I make. Ha

Found an error with the 2nd Wily skull in Mega Man II, that appears on Dr. Wily's Castle. While I was porting everything over to the SNES, I noticed the left eye of the skull was missing a portion of it's yellow eye. I then discovered that the developers had the tile id going to the wrong OAM buffer address for it to be displayed. I sniffed around the Cutting Room Floor to see if this has been already discovered, and it hasn't. Hurray for me!🙂 ROM address $35AC9 in both Mega Man 2 & Rockman 2, has STA $02F5 (8DF502), when it should be STA $02E5 (8DE502). Check out the image below to see. 🙂 @ak_blueprints

I did a speedrun of Glass Joe on the newly discovered prototype of Punch Out! It doesn't play any audio though, so I ended up doing a complete restoration of the audio using very advanced tech. Please hear the tech you won't regret the tech. youtube.com/watch?v=C9FjUd…

Here is my parallax scrolling engine that i've implemented, into my Mega Man II port on the Super Nintendo. For vertical scroll, I simply have bg1 $210E sent to bg2 $2110 so they match. Right now bg2 is simply a manual paste of tiles into the SNES vram, tilemap is 64x32. Just imagine what this will look like with updated gfx and cgram down the road. Enjoy my playthrough. 🙂
