DEAR NDI-IGBO —ATIKU ABUBAKAR IS NOT OUR PROBLEM. —THE HAUSA MAN IS NOT OUR PROBLEM. —THE FULANI MAN IS NOT OUR PROBLEM. Peter Obi must understand one clear truth, and that's Ndi-Igbo will not abandon the ADC if he chooses to leave tomorrow. We have made our decision. As a people, we are committed to rallying around the ADC. We will solidify our interests, strengthen our structures, and build a formidable presence within the party. This is not about following any individual. It is about strategic positioning, protecting Igbo interest, and refusing to remain perpetual spectators in Nigerian politics. We have endured enough marginalisation. The time has come for calculated, independent action. Let it be known that ADC is our vehicle now. We are not passengers, we are co-owners and stakeholders. Whoever chooses to board with us is welcome. Whoever decides to alight is free to go. But Ndi-Igbo are staying. We move as one. We stand firm. We build for the long term. #ADCIsOurPlatform #NdiIgboDecide

We tracked the Sokoto Badagry Super-Highway from both ends this month, the Lagos axis and Sokoto axis. On the Lagos end, the project is currently within Ogun State, stretching from Diya Gate, OPIC Estate, Agbara to Iyana Idoye, Lusada. Sparse work was observed at Odugbe in Lusada, Ado Odo/Ota LGA. The project terminated at Phase 4, Atan with only one side of the road under construction by Hitech Construction Company Limited. At the Sokoto end in Illela LGA, work was ongoing, bush clearing, sand filling, and site preparation. On the section towards Katami, Silame LGA, Sokoto and in Kebbi State, some portions have been completed with concrete paving and solar lighting installed. Progress is uneven and slow. Now here is what has been committed on paper, FEC has approved contracts worth N2.36tn for the highway since 2024, (N947bn for Kebbi single carriageway in August 2024, N456bn for Sokoto 120km section in October 2024 flagoff and N961bn for Kebbi second carriageway for August 2025). Just 3 days ago, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu sent a fresh request to the Senate for a $516.3m loan from Deutsche Bank, the largest single external injection into this project yet. But the Minister of Works, Senator Engineer David Nweze Umahi, CON admitted in February 2026 that only N210.31bn, 9.7% of expected 2025 capital releases have actually been paid to contractors. Contractors across FMWNG projects are owed N2.2tn for advanced work. Commitments on paper. The total cost of this 1,068km highway alone is projected at over N6.5tn, borrowed money, at a time when Nigeria already spends substantial part of her total revenue servicing existing debt. We urgently call on the Federal Government of Nigeria and National Assembly to; - Properly scrutinize every new loan. - Release funds owed to contractors. - Publish quarterly disbursement reports for this highway. - Scrutinise the $516.3m Deutsche Bank loan terms transparently. Citizens deserve infrastructure and fiscal accountability, not one without the other. #Publicfundsmustforthegoodofthepeople #AskQuestions Tracka

@maryam_Jidayi It’s a huge logical leap to go from “I’ve never seen…” then conclude with “outrage is selective…” You’re assuming that your TL accurately reflects reality rather than curating news to fit your own bias. Anyway, Cubana even had to apologize on BBC Igbo due to dragging here.

This street light hasn’t even lasted 6 months, and the wind is already blowing it down. Move around Abia State, and you’ll see it for yourself—substandard projects everywhere: failed roads, broken street lights, and other incomplete projects. This is not what the people deserve. I cannot stay silent when things are clearly going in the wrong direction. We need transparency, accountability, and leaders who deliver real results, not just online propaganda. Even more frustrating—when you ask simple questions, some Labour Party e-rats attack you as if speaking up is a crime. Is this what democracy looks like? Are citizens no longer allowed to hold their leaders accountable? Holding leaders accountable is not hatred—it’s our right. Abia deserves better

@ruffydfire, you’re a journalist. You’ve read the Act. You know exactly what it says. But somehow you still twist it depending on your mood. The Electoral Act 2022 did not legalise forgery. Forgery is still a criminal offence under the Criminal Code Act (Sections 465–467). False information in candidate forms can also be challenged under Section 31 of the Electoral Act. What the National Assembly removed was only a procedural ground within election petitions, not the offence itself. So no, submitting forged documents to INEC does not mean anyone “gets away with it”. To be honest, it’s only the most gullible followers who don’t bother reading the law that can be gaslighted with this Elon-Musk-money twitter noise. A journalist should know the difference between criminal liability and election petition procedure before misleading the public.

Let it be on record that the NASS Removed a clause that affirmed forgery as a ground to challenge election results! Inference: This means that you can submit a forged document to INEC and you will get away with forgery!

PRESS STATEMENT In the last 24 hours, social media has exploded over my interview with Mehdi Hassan, albeit with varied opinions. Let me set the record straight. When I signed on to the privileged job granted to me by Mr. President, I was well aware of its implications. Selling ice cream, looking fine, and seeking the praises of men were never part of it. Some of the fiercest critics of my interview can not even stand local TV anchors. But the task of promoting and defending the President and his administration is what I do with ease and joy. I am prepared to appear before any interviewer, anywhere in the world, any day and at any time, to defend this government and its policies. I have never, and will never, subscribe to ducking or dodging interviews on matters that concern promoting and defending the administration I was appointed to serve. It is the least of what is required of me. Head to Head contacted me requesting an interview, stating that they wanted to challenge our government on security, the economy, and corruption. Nowhere in our almost six months of communication did they mention that they were going to challenge my past. If that had been their plan, ethically and professionally, they were supposed to inform me so I could prepare my response. But that’s okay, ethically, that is on them, not on me. I refused to swallow the pill of Mehdi’s “opposition research-style journalism,” and even today, if you carefully compare what he read as quotes from organisations and groups, you will see that many were inaccurate and some were outright fake news. But I will leave that for another day. As for what I said about President Tinubu in the past, I am glad those were things I said when I was in the opposition saddle with such zeal. It is all politics. Half of Donald Trump’s cabinet is made up of people who once spoke against him, and quite a number of people in our own cabinet also spoke against President Tinubu in the past. Those things do not bother him if you care to know. The majority of the naysayers are members of the opposition and their sympathisers. It does not bother me one bit. Their temporary excitement over the interview has not lasted and will not last, because it does not take away their obvious problem of lack of vision, mission in conducting and managing a political party; yet they seek to manage Nigeria. Clearly they have no path to victory and no alternative policies or program for the Nigerian people. And if they say they do, they can as well go to head to head and be interrogated on that; as the saying in Hausa goes “Ga fili Ga doki” I conclude by thanking the many Nigerians and non-Nigerians who sent in their commendations over my brave defence of our government in an interview where the anchor would hardly let you answer a question unless it suited his narrative. I still have admiration and respect for Mehdi Hassan as arguably the best debater on the planet. I look forward to part two of the Head to Head interview, and I am glad that by then questions about my past will no longer be news so that we can focus on our administration’s policies, programs and what we have achieved so far. Stay tuned. – D.H Bwala Special Adviser to President on Media and Policy Communication (State House) Saturday March 7, 2026
