Liberals have accused the PM of not submitting his message to the public while in Parliament so it can be scrutinised. Allegedly it's a pre recorded message. Parliament will not sit again till mid May. 🧐

We are lucky to be living in the best time in Australia with probably the best gov't in history. Albanese bold, tough, articulate, truthful leader. Chalmers Straight shooter, brilliant mathematically,a wizard. Bowen Intellectual powerhouse, best minister in any portfolio in history. Burke Friend to all Australians, honest ,faithful husband, transparent. Wong Wonderful foreign minister, especially for our Jewish friends. Wells. Accountable, honest, and always has taxpayers' interest at heart. No wonder life in Australia is so good,so cheap, non divisive. Thanks, Labor.

@electricfelix Running trucks on coal makes sense as we have shit tonnes of it and this is where the majority of our electricity comes from. We should also drill baby drill and refine our own oil.

Daniel Bleakley: 🇦🇺 "We transported essential household goods for our customer Who Gives A Crap from their distribution centre in Sydney to Canberra with a Windrose prime mover on a single charge." "Australia must act now and seize this moment to decouple from diesel." ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Sydney EV 🔋☀️@sydney_ev

a Windrose #EV Truck, just competed a loaded B Double run from Sydney to Canberra non stop, no need to charge, 100% electric. total cost $50 approx. Diesel would have cost near $500 or more. We have solutions to our fuel crisis.. #auspol #trucking brisbanetimes.com.au/environment/cl…

Governments working in lockstep to orchestrate this energy ‘crisis’ Australia’s treasurer came out yesterday stating everyone should work from home and not travel over the Easter weekend to avoid future lockdown and now we have the European Commission stating the same today! According to the Australian government there is no crisis though and we have plenty of fuel, yet in the same breathe they are telling us not to travel They already have this all planned out

Australia holds 30% of the world's uranium reserves. It is the Saudi Arabia of the Southern Hemisphere, yet it refuses to lift mining prohibitions in key regions, refuses to recognise U as a critical mineral, and refuses to lift the ban on nuclear energy. Mind-blowing stupidity

@DocCroc420 @HughButler35 @JakeBeer11 @AussieFim Hopefully. But it still makes sense to do it. Would make even more sense to electrify major rail routes, with a combination of batteries and overhead power, to reduce the need for diesel line haul.

Electric trucking in Australia could smash diesel imports and cost in less than 4 years. Transport accounts for 20% of the nation's emissions. Electric B-Double prime movers cost about 30 c/ km for electricity, a third of diesel's cost. Analysis by David Leitch confirms that replacing the ~ 6,000 prime movers on the Sydney - Melbourne route saves over 4 billion litres. Payback in just 4 years. If expanded to Brisbane, it would account for about 54% of diesel imports. $10 billion in imports are gone. Sovereignty gained. Why not?

Janus is betting on replaceable. Locks into Janus. What is the problem to deal with? The international standard for high-power fast charging of heavy-duty electric trucks is the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) Designed specifically for commercial vehicles (Class 6, 7, and 8), MCS enables charging at power levels up to 3.75 megawatts (3,000 amperes at 1,250 volts DC). This allows for charging a truck's battery from 20% to 80% in under 30 minutes, fitting into required driver rest breaks. But Janus is retrofit. Not new. Lets say the truck turns up at the base. The base depot puts in a 250 kW charger takes 4 hours. If the truck operates 24/7 ok. But most do not. Average hours per year is about 60 hours, 90,000km. What happens in those idle times. Slower charging. Just like a whole bunch of car EVs that use granny charging and occassionly use a 250kW charger. januselectric.com

The biggest concern with EVs, the battery, is a non-issue. I’ve driven 60,000km and the battery health is 94%! The battery warranty is 8 years. In that time I will save about $24,000 in fuel and servicing costs.
