@roulerdelaroute @dmtrubman Agreed. Although Japan had the advantage that most of their cities were completely rebuilt about 70-80 years ago.

Blackwall tunnel charges start at 6am. If you enter at 05.58 and exit at 06.02 do you need to pay?

@GWRHelp Thanks Steve, but I would, in effect, be ‘breaking the journey’ in each direction, which is allowed with a super off peak return? You can go either via Parkway or Bath as when you search Paddington to Bristol TM it suggests journeys both ways.

@DocklessBikeMan Good evening. This wouldn't be an option as Bristol Parkway and Bath are on two separate lines. You would have to buy separate tickets for these journeys, I'm afraid - Steve

@GWRHelp Hi, I want to go from Paddington to Bristol Parkway & return to Paddington from Bath. Can I buy a super off peak return to Bristol Temple Meads? (Travelling at times ticket is valid obviously)

@CharlieJSDavis Where are we suppose to dispose of small electricals now? Wouldn’t trail down to Nathan Way dump with eg a broken hairdryer. If it can’t be made easy I’m afraid it’ll be the black bin.

Do you remember when Labour-run Greenwich Council told us they were removing the recycling point to stop fly-tipping? It’s going well… #DontKnowWhatTheyreDoing

🚲 London’s streets are full of e-bikes… and no one’s enforcing the rules We tested hire apps by parking bikes in the most absurd places. The results are alarming. Full story by Steve Bird & Jack Leather ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/02/1…

Went to a different church this morning and the confessional beforehand. The priest offered the absolution in Latin! That's a first for me.

@Herdsman1989 If you flash your headlights at these driverless cars like you would a driver to give them priority, do they react? Can’t see how it’s going to work in London.

@gaiusofthesalt @Doragoon6 @Templarpilled Hard to believe the fathers of V2 had in mind the 3 or 4 hymn sandwich all to common in England as their aim.Perhaps more envisaged was the Polish model of everything being sung by the celebrant,Mass ordinary,Lord’s Prayer etc with hymns which only ever fill the time available.

@Doragoon6 @Templarpilled As a Boomer, I can tell you from my own perspective that from 1962, when I was 7 and could notice these things, across three different states, I never saw or heard of anything but the Low Mass with the 4 hymn sandwich.

@KingOfLimeBikes Not tried them as they only operate in a small area, Kensington & Notting Hill. Have pay by distance option for charging.

Bolt bikes in London nerve seem to be well geofenced. And with a range of fines for out of zone ending of rides. Why do fewer (no?) riders end rides out of zone, unlike eg Lime?

@DocklessBikeMan Hi, Your screenshot of the bus stop timetable indicates 6 buses in 2 hours (1600-1800hrs), not one hour - which is correct. ^CO

@TfL Oxleas Wood stop SK. 89 bus timetable suggests a good 6 buses an hour between 1400 & 1600 on a Sunday, but the online version gives the correct infrequent 3 per hour. Undated timetable left over from the 2012 Olympics?
