@TheCinesthetic I always thought it was the three separate scenes that portrayed this. The first two in his office that he didn’t suspect/the suspected, then in the restaurant he knew.

The director of American Psycho had Willem Dafoe play this scene in 3 different ways: 1. That he knew that Patrick had done the killings 2. He suspected it 3. That he didn't suspect Patrick at all Those 3 takes were cut together as one scene.

I stay in my own bubble these days to focus on my community and wellbeing. I may be quiet to others sometimes but that’s because of my constant battle with grieving.
