CO AG Weiser: The Federal Department of Justice has a responsibility to enforce the antitrust laws and to apply the law fairly. Here’s what happened. The president, in a Truth Social post, said, “This merger between Nexstar and Tegna should be approved, period.” The Department of Justice ignored its established standards. They didn’t explain why—they just waved this right through. A coalition of state AGs is now in court. On April 7th, we’re going to be before a judge asking for a preliminary injunction so we can stop this merger completely.

BREAKING-The judge in our case challenging the Nexstar-Tegna merger (9News and Fox31) just issued a temporary restraining order, blocking the companies from merging. On April 7th, the judge will consider the request to bar the merger while we make our case to stop it permanently.

Great to join and address the Colorado Springs No Kings rally, calling for fighting back against this administration’s lawless bullying and for leading with love. The turnout of thousands of people was energizing and inspiring.
