It turns out that a Turkish company presents itself as the official administrator of Equatorial Guinea’s ship registry. Especially Cluster A and B. 🇨🇾 South Cyprus: Russian shadow fleet rotation? Tankers NISSOS SIKINOS (IMO 9884033) and MINERVA KYTHNOS (IMO 9592252) completed a ship-to-ship (STS) last week. MINERVA KYTHNOS is the 3rd tanker from its company to perform an STS in the area, following MINERVA ANTHONIA (IMO 9380398) and MINERVA JOY (IMO 9363479). NISSOS SIKINOS and MINERVA tankers have been regularly seen calling at Russian terminals. This ship rotation practice seems deliberate, to avoid suspicion on a single vessel.

At the NATO Defence Industry Forum in Ankara, Belgium joined 🇨🇦 🇩🇪 🇩🇰 🇱🇻 🇱🇺 🇳🇱 🇳🇴 🇷🇴 🇸🇪 🇪🇸 and 🇨🇿 in taking a major step towards NATO's future surveillance and control capability. The participating nations agreed to acquire up to 10 Saab GlobalEye aircraft together, to replace NATO's ageing AWACS fleet by the mid-2030s. European aircraft for stronger European strategic autonomy.

The Lada-class SSK and the Improved Kilo-class SSK are leaving the Baltic Sea, possibly heading for their home bases,which are likely “Kronshtadt” and “Mozhaisk”/“Yakutsk”. The Ropucha-class landing ship Kondopoga is also with them. Could this simply be a planned redeployment or a routine transfer, possibly linked to the cancellation of Russia’s Navy Day events? 🚨 TM BONIFACY (IMO 9284726) is under international sanctions. The tanker has been in Turkey since 16 June. Not illegal in itself — but one more sign of Ankara’s tolerance toward the dark fleet. So on one hand, 🇹🇷 asks Kyiv and Moscow not to bring the war into its waters. Fair enough. But allowing sanctioned dark fleet tankers to use Turkey as a safe maritime space is also part of the war’s logistics. @UATV_en @RFNOSBlog

I noticed that she's loitering off Antalya (only 14 nm traveled in the last 24 hours) after she departed from Tasucu. The 🇲🇿 Chariot Tide (9323376), a #darkfleet tanker that departed from Novorossiisk in early May. She only turned on her AIS after entering the Aegan sea. After a 1 day period of loitering in front of Port-Saïd (STS Transfer ?) she anchored in front of Alexandria from the 05/27 to the 06/12. After a 48H stop she's back at anchor in front of Alexandria. For context, in January, this tanker had to be towed to Tanger by a Spanish vessel after an engine/steering failure. How long before another accident happens ?
