@JeysenPlantin @ctdonath @robotaxi Tesla has initiated "stopgap" Model Y robotaxis but scaling them requires intense surveillance and "fleet support specialists" to assist in complex scenarios. It's a logistical bottleneck and there are city by city regulations. It's not a, make car. put on road, problem.

@ctdonath @robotaxi I don't understand why 10% of quarterly production cannot be added to ride hailing as unsupervised autonomous vehicles. Tesla had enough time to develop both software and hardware. The Tesla team's execution is not the same as it used to be.

@HaYoMiDe_ My thing is... glass doors? Really? Not exactly a safe room. Keep heading out the door to your car or continue running and increase distance between you and them until you've essentially lost them.

@LeakerApple @scousersvn @Cartidise So Apple didn't change their form factor to make bigger phablet style phones after Samsung? Everyone knows Apple takes something that someone already made and "makes it better". Let's not pretend they did it first.

@scousersvn @Cartidise Yeah and they changed their form factors to follow Samsung. Also, those still weren't as wide as the iPhone Fold will be.

@LeakerApple @Ray001Brian @lakshyalark That's not the definition of a flip versus a fold. Flip opens vertically fold opens horizontally. This is an industry standard. This is coming from someone who worked on the first Pixel Fold. And surprise we did the passport (fold) design first. 3 generations ago. 😂

If Huawei goes global, it’s so over for brands surviving on recycled designs and new feature marketing every year. Huawei Pura X Max is a Game Changer!

@RjeyTech It’s not lol Microsoft did this years ago and Apple fans said it’s a terrible form factor. So why would they all like it now ?

@app_settings I keep seeing the app thing, but I think it's more of an "I don't want this in this app and I specifically need this in that app thing" I don't understand how big of a deal its just to click something one more time big bummer, for a really experience you need 1 year at least.

Day 3 of switching to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (as an iPhone user) ok y’all, it’s time. i can’t do this anymore. i’m switching back to my iPhone 😭 don’t get me wrong- the S24 Ultra is a great phone, and i totally get why so many people love samsung. that being said, although there are a lot of things i like about this phone, my iPhone 17 Pro has better performance, a MUCH better camera, and i honestly miss iOS and the Apple Ecosystem and Live Activities SO MUCH 😭 ALSO, android apps just aren’t as nice to use as iPhone apps- they feel a lot less polished because they have fewer in-app animations and haptics and stuff 🫠 the benefits of a Samsung phone- like the S-pen and Good Lock- just aren’t important enough to me personally for me to keep using it over my iPhone ngl, but i totally get why people pick Samsungs over iPhones- it’s INSANE how much you can tweak and mess around with lol this was a really fun experiment, but until Google focuses on improving app quality on Android i really don’t think i could ever switch to using an Android as my main phone lol i’m gonna keep the S24 Ultra as a secondary phone, so i can still have the Android experience and post about it, but my eSim will be going back in the iPhone :p my iPhone has all the customisation features i could want, so again- i personally don’t really find things like Good Lock worth giving up app quality and the Apple ecosystem and stuff for 😭 ANYWAY- thank you all for reading! i’m going to make a long-form video soon talking about the experience in more detail, so keep an eye out for when i post that! lmk if you have any questions or anything and i’ll answer them asw✌️

@gonxolotl @app_settings It's an app developer issue. Android CAN do all those things. (Many) Developers don't prioritize polish for Android.

@app_settings Why are apps supposed to have Haptic Feedback/animations for everything like iOS? Thinking that way is why ppl always complain about android because ppl think it HAS to work the same way as IOS. I get that some apps are not as polished in terms of functions but this is pathetic

@app_settings @AnxiousHolly So we are just not blaming the app developers? 😂 What app on Android that has an iOS equivalent was bad? I have an OPPO Find N6 so no dog in the Samsung race. Just curious.

@EndTesla @Teslaconomics You should watch this video if you have time. It's a really good indicator in terms of scale not just vision vs lidar why Tesla is probably going to ultimately succeed. Production of vehicles isn't being addressed. youtu.be/nlD58BI1akU?si…

I realize more and more that there is such a thing as dumb person in life. “Turn off the lights and vision fails, LiDAR keeps working” may sound logical in theory, but the Waymo SF power outage really just disproved it. During the recent San Francisco power outage, Waymo’s entire LiDAR-heavy robotaxi fleet went offline. Literally the entire fleet just stopped operating. Meanwhile, all Tesla Robotaxis kept running! Tesla’s vision-based system is trained on billions of miles, neural nets, and, most importantly, doesn’t require a city to be perfectly powered to function. An alien UFO could land in the middle of nowhere with the entire city blacked out and it will still work. Humans don’t drive with lasers. We drive with our eyes, we process what we see with our brain, and then we react with our body. Tesla does the same thing, except the brain is AI, trained on billions of real-world miles. Tesla’s Vision system learns the world as it is, adapts in real time, and improves continuously and is NOT dependent on special maps, perfect lighting, or city-by-city infrastructure like LiDAR. That’s why it scales. With a simple software update, Tesla’s Vision AI can operate anywhere instead of just where the environment was pre-approved or carefully controlled like LiDAR. This is how generalized real-world autonomy gets solved. I believe this will be obvious in hindsight.

@dkosta_ @NolanAnalyst I see what you're doing but it's more like the multiple reinterpretations of Batman. Different depiction depending on the writer. I don't really care. I never read the book so IF I watch the movie that will be my version of the story. Maybe that's what Nolan is going for.

Let’s be very clear: THE ODYSSEY will have costumes that do NOT correspond to Greek mythology, sets whose architecture does NOT correspond to Greek mythology, and filming locations that are NOT part of Greek mythology. And you know what? I don’t care, because as a cinephile, what interests me is the directing, the story, and the emotion that comes out of it. That’s how you judge a film.
