No matter one’s role in education, there are challenges and stresses that pop up throughout a school year. Notes like this one I received yesterday attached to a graduation announcement for a former student at a previous school are often timely. I needed this yesterday.

If the Cardinals aren’t pleased with the offers they’re getting for Donovan now, there’s no guarantee those offers will be at the same level, let alone higher, at the deadline. Feels like a missed opportunity not to move him.

Belichick situation a classic case where something that should be very simple can be overcomplicated by voting systems. It should be a yes-or-no vote on each candidate, based on the merits of his/her record: Is this person a Hall of Famer? In Belichick's case: Of course. The Baseball Hall of Fame has had the same systemic problem, and in past years, it's really hurt the candidacies of players like Kenny Lofton, Jorge Posada, Jeff Kent, Curt Schilling, etc.

I am far from a perfect administrator, and I learn through my missteps. What I know without question is how deeply I value our staff. They work tirelessly, care deeply about kids, and take on a job that is anything but easy. My role is to support them and remove as many barriers as possible.

I can’t keep up with all the hypocrisies and double-standards from political parties, politicians, and the media. From all sides. Can we quit pretending one side is the bearer of all righteousness?
