I'm sick and tired of being told that I'm fed up with being sick and tired. Retired public servant and irritable lefty.

@imetatronink @SilkWilkes @WeTheBrandon I think you would like the area where James Naismith was born. Bennies Corners, near the town of Almonte, in Lanark county. The maple syrup capital of Ontario. Oh, and Almonte is named after Juan Almonte, Mexican military officer and diplomat.

@SilkWilkes @WeTheBrandon Meh. Naismith was a Canadian American who spent most of his adult life in the United States. And besides, as everybody knows, Canada is the 51st state. 😏

Remember when Carney said this in Davos? Keep this paragraph in mind when you read what he said today about Iran and the UAE, and his silence when Iran was being attacked... "We knew the story of the international rules-based order was partially false that the strongest would exempt themselves when convenient, that trade rules were enforced asymmetrically. And we knew that international law applied with varying rigour depending on the identity of the accused or the victim."

Canada stands in Solidarity with Western Imperialism and Financial Capitalism. Long live the Iranian Resistance...
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

Canada strongly condemns Iran’s unprovoked missile and drone attacks on the United Arab Emirates. We stand in solidarity with @MohamedBinZayed and the people of the United Arab Emirates and commend defensive efforts to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure. Canada reiterates its call for de-escalation and diplomacy in the region.

If PM Carney meant what he said in Davos, Canada should be as committed to helping Cuba as we are Ukraine.

@KenRoth Bucha was done by the Ukrainians. The “Russia did it” narrative is a Ukrainian-UK psyop. You discredit yourself by repeating this fraudulent story. But then again, that’s par for the course for you.

Not all privatizations are as disastrous as the 407. But they all share one feature: they gouge consumers. Crazy to privatize our airports--in the middle of “affordability crisis,” no less! #cdnpoli thestar.com/opinion/contri…

The cost of Doug Ford: While people struggle with rising gas and grocery prices, he is changing the law to hide his phone records, buying a $30M private jet, and flying to the U.S. to get an honourary degree while cutting OSAP for Ontario students. Ontario deserves better.
Marit Stiles@MaritStiles

While thousands of people are stuck getting healthcare in hallways every day and youth unemployment hit an all-time high, Doug Ford jetted off to the U.S. to pick up an honourary degree. Do Ontarians need to give him an honourary degree for him to face them?
