I'm sick and tired of being told that I'm fed up with being sick and tired. Retired public servant and irritable lefty.

Meloni: If American troops leave Italy, I will not agree with this decision.

🌹🇨🇦🇨🇦🌹 While Canadians are hearing open rhetoric about making Canada a “51st state,” the Canadian Security Intelligence Service report focuses foreign interference heavily on alleged covert activities—often drawing broad conclusions from indirect associations. In reality, Canada’s sovereignty is more directly challenged by open pressure, public advocacy, and sustained influence—through think tanks, academic channels, and policy networks, including those shaped by individuals with deep intelligence backgrounds—operating in plain sight. Yet these forms of influence are rarely assessed with the same urgency. When explicit statements about Canada’s sovereignty are made in the open—and history, from the War of 1812, reminds us that direct conflict is not unimaginable—this is not theoretical, it is immediate. Canada’s path forward must be clear: strengthen sovereignty in all dimensions—economic, strategic, and policy independence. Reduce over-reliance on any single partner. Expand engagement with China, India, Japan, Korea, ASEAN, and partners across the globe. Sovereignty is not protected by narrow definitions of risk—but by balance, consistency, and true independence.

Canada strongly condemns Iran’s unprovoked missile and drone attacks on the United Arab Emirates. We stand in solidarity with @MohamedBinZayed and the people of the United Arab Emirates and commend defensive efforts to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure. Canada reiterates its call for de-escalation and diplomacy in the region.

Kevin O'Leary is conspiring with the Alberta government to build the largest AI datacenter in the world. Thing is, they know that these datacenters aren't sustainable and profitable, but build them b/c money is in construction and gov't subsidies. They're killing us for profits

The people sleeping in the streets of #HamOnt would love to see some of that largess.

While thousands of people are stuck getting healthcare in hallways every day and youth unemployment hit an all-time high, Doug Ford jetted off to the U.S. to pick up an honourary degree. Do Ontarians need to give him an honourary degree for him to face them?

There’s always money for more war

Blood and soil-level garbage right here.

Journalism empowers us with the truth and protects our democracy. In a world where it’s increasingly under threat, Canada continues to support a free and open press — and we are stronger for it. #WorldPressFreedomDay

The government should be protecting our public airports, not selling them off for parts. History is littered with examples of the failures of privatization. It drives up costs for the public, quality suffers, and workers always end up paying the price.

It's incredible how a signals station for United States intelligence thinks they're like the Rebels, and not the Empire.
