One thing I will commend about @C2Antiquity is that it is not easy to leave your vocation as a pastor to start again as an orthodox Christian. You gave up your power to those that can strip yours at a moments notice. And that is the case for all orthodox creators. All that is needed is the confessor father (or in extreme cases the hierarch in charge) to apply the appropriate sanction. Now I am not sure whether he is baptised rn. Apparently he sometimes watches the channel. But if you do see this Ben, I want to wish you good fortune on your path to illumination! There will be many that will deride you because of your content style (most of them being me😂😗) but only you will know if it is impacting you spiritually. Keep working, keep jugging and pray that God directs your steps! And more importantly than anything in this needlessly long post, pray for me. It’s what keeps me alive!

@UbiPetrus2019 Hey Ubi. I’m married, and it all depends on if she’s reformed from it before meeting you. Otherwise her past shouldn’t matter if she’s given that up for God and especially for you

@poperespecter1 Slander. God forgive you! He repented. He WAS — in the past, before reception - plagued by those sins. Never again. You have no basis to say he continued in. Sin! Repent.

You could say all of that and a lot of people are probably going to agree with you. But the indisputable fact is that not one of you, or all three of you put together, could actually beat Jay in a serious theological debate. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it. So this actually looks like cope from all of you guys. Instead of acting like he’s too mean to debate you could just say “look I can’t debate you because you’re gonna mop the floor with me and that’s not good for my branding. And I know you’re probably right about the theology, but I’m going to continue with the theology I have because it’s what I’m comfortable with and again it helps my branding.” That’s not even me throwing shade at you guys. That’s just the facts. You guys could all just admit that theology is not your thing and that you just want to put out generalized, widely marketable Christian-adjacent content. Then you wouldn’t keep getting people wanting to debate you on the theology. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t even think anyone would hold that against you. Not even Jay.

@superxtianmario Mario, if you don’t mind me asking. Logically if this person does convert to Christ sincerely, what’s the approach moving forward then? She has to remain celibate forever?

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

@realmikolson The Son of God is eternal in His divinity, but in the Incarnation He took flesh from Mary and was born among the Jews. So Scripture ties Him to Judah, David, Israel, circumcision, the temple and the Law. This means biblical Israel, not the modern state of Israel or politics

He argues that Adam and Eve can be real historical people while still accepting what science has discovered about early humans. In his view, being “human” in God’s eyes is about having reason and moral responsibility, not simply a biological label like Homo sapiens. This allows core Christian beliefs, such as the fall and humanity’s moral accountability, to remain intact without forcing Scripture into conflict with modern scientific evidence. I'd love to hear an intellectual response opposed to "I don't believe him".

William Lane Craig says that Adam and Eve were non-homosapien cavemen that lived 750,000 years ago, and the reasons that theologians and pastors don't know this is they are ignorant of science & philosophy, making them "impaired when it comes to doing systematic theology."

@SerbiaBased That is a very sincere celebration. The only thing to mock is how many times that boy had to attempt to light the candle. A Serbian boy of that age has smoked enough cartons of cigarettes to use a lighter competently on the first try.

@IndianaBrunner You were like a lost puppy biting more than he can chew… my advice if you’re going to debate an Orthodox Christian you might want to know more about Eastern Christian spirituality before stepping into the ring. But that would be digging for the truth. Something I doubt of you!

After the Russo-Ottoman War, Russia liberated Orthodox-populated lands such as Macedonia, Thrace, and parts of Bulgaria. Soon after, the Treaty of Berlin forced Russia to cede these lands back to the Ottomans. Guess who the biggest proponent of the Treaty of Berlin was? Well well
